of this card is that once you establish a good credit history with the Chase Freedom card, you can start applying to their more elite cards with more benefits, like Sapphire Preferred or
Ink Bold.
This new suite will compete in the small business charge card space with leader American Express, as well as Chase, which now issues an
Ink Bold charge card as part
of its
Ink small business card suite.
The Chase
Ink Bold is the charge card edition
of the
Ink Plus credit card also offered by Chase.
With the rewards and bonuses built into the card, as long as you can hit the minimum spending requirements
of $ 5,000 in the first three months, the
Ink Bold basically pays for itself is easily one
of the more valuable business rewards credit cards.
Rewards earned with the
Ink Bold are delivered as Ultimate Rewards points, and as one
of the higher tier cards in the program, cardholders have access to the 20 % discount on travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards as well as the travel transfer programs.
The
Ink Bold rewards companies most in the area
of office specific expenses.
You will also get 1.25 cents per Ultimate Rewards point instead
of 1 cent towards any travel redemption via the Ultimate Rewards portal if you redeem points from your Sapphire Preferred or
Ink Bold / Plus accounts, compared to your Chase Freedom account.
One
of those I've had the chance to check out is this business credit card with a rewards program, the
Ink Bold with Ultimate Rewards card.
In addition to the rewards, the
Ink Bold with Ultimate Rewards card offers its users several forms
of protection.
I do a lot
of spending at office supply stores, which is how the
Ink Bold caught my eye initially.
The Chase
Ink Bold card was an older version
of the Chase UR credit cards.
One
of my favorite cards is the Chase
Ink Bold Business card that I signed up for a few months ago.
Chase cards earn Chase Ultimate Rewards (UR) points, three cards (Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase
Ink Bold & Chase
Ink Plus) offer the ability to transfer these points to their hotel partners at a fixed rate
of 1:1.
With bonus rewards for purchases in a wide range
of business categories, including the ever - necessary office supplies,
Ink Bold with Ultimate Rewards cardholders can likely rack up the rewards at record speed.
I'm not a huge CSP fan — yes the UR transfer portion
of CSP is good — but that comes with
Ink Bold as well.
For example, you might consider switching from an
Ink Plus to an
Ink Bold or vice versa if that is one
of your Chase business cards.
I could probably have done another
Ink Bold, this time using the business's EIN instead
of my SSN.
On the other hand, I did know I would apply for an
Ink Bold or Plus eventually since I want to get rid
of one
of my most expensive and least valuable cards, the Chase Sapphire Preferred, while retaining the ability to transfer Ultimate Rewards points.
You could alternatively use a Sapphire Preferred or
Ink Bold / Plus card to get 2X Ultimate Rewards points and transfer them, but I think the extra point is worth the loss
of flexibility.
A somewhat rare exception to this rule is that if you have an
Ink Bold or
Ink Plus card where referrals are showing up for the
Ink Preferred card at the moment (which is considered a distinct product from previous versions
of Ink cards).
He thought I had a good chance
of keeping my Sapphire Preferred if that was the only issue, and he offered to request at the same time that the points be transferred to my
Ink Bold if the card still had to be closed.
The Chase
Ink Bold card was an older version
of the Chase UR credit cards.
On top
of that you can also get 5x Ultimate Rewards points when using a
Ink Plus /
Bold / Cash card for this purchase.
This is a nice discount on Domino's Gift Cards and you can also get 5X Ultimate Rewards when purchasing with a Chase

Bold / Cash through PayPal.Could be some free points for a minute
of work.
Another popular option is Chase
Ink Bold, which carries an annual fee
of $ 95, waived the first year.

For those how have the Chase
Ink Bold (or similar card that provides 5X at Office Supplies Stores), it would be more lucrative to buy Starbucks gift cards at Staples, providing a total
of 7X (that is 2X United points through the App and 5X Ultimate Rewards points through the card.)
I still make the 2 points per dining but I just didn't see the value
of keeping the card at 95 bucks per year granted I also have the
Bold INK, which I intend to keep and continue to transfer the UR points to United, BA or Amtrak (for the occasional trip to NYC from DC).
Speaking
of which, although your first impulse might be to complain to United — and you should do so constructively by calling MileagePlus and formally voicing your concerns and dismay — if you are a Chase credit cardholder
of one
of the products that accrues United miles like the United MileagePlus Explorer Card, Sapphire Preferred or
Ink Bold and
Ink Plus, it would also be a good idea to call the bank and tell them how frustrated you are because the points you earn with their cards are worth much less now.
In my opinion, any
of the above redemptions are totally worth the transfer from Chase (
Ink Bold,
Ink Plus, or Chase Sapphire Preferred), or the Amex SPG card.
In the past people were transferring points to all manner
of people, but some accounts got shut down — mine was among them (I still have an
Ink Bold and Freedom, but I am now an authorized user on Megan's Sapphire Preferred).

The system hadn't updated completely from my prior application so it looked like my Southwest card still had a limit
of $ 23,000 when in reality it had been reduced to $ 18,000 to enable the Chase
Ink Bold to be approved.
