Once you're ready to do some dirt, you actually have a selection
of side missions to choose from alongside the main missions.
There are plenty
of side missions in the game to keep you busy, and if you want to collect all the yo - kai you'll be playing even longer.
The main quest is involving and nice to play, and the number
of side mission and extra activities is impressive (and all of them are fun to play).
Granted,
some of the side missions feel more like filler, but not all.

The Alliance Alive also has a sort
of a side mission that allows the player to recruit NPCs and add them to certain guilds, yes, this does sound like Suikoden.

of side missions, race's and general daft things to do make this a huuuuuuge game.
Titled The Secret Armory of General Knoxx this new add - on to the Borderlands universe add's around 5 hours worth of main missions and another 2 - 3 hours
of side missions and of course, more guns.
You could have literally done just the main missions and none
of the side missions and be done with the game in just a few hours.
