tight chest and not strong enough upper back lead to crunched shoulders,

So in my opinion rolling up would be more likely to exacerbate the situation then help it, since when your
hamstrings are really
tight, most
of the curve in the forward bend would come from your lumbar spine.
There is a quick 2 - minute, in - office procedure that can be implemented, which simulates the use
of the toes (and entire range
of ankle joint motion) in walking to determine if
tight hamstrings are due to faulty gait mechanics.
Targeted exercises (couch stretch to loosen
tight psoas and quads, clams and glute bridge to activate glutes, planks for core,
hamstring strengtheners etc.), pressure and dry needling for triggers have helped enormously and my lower back pain
