The game's storyline starts off promisingly enough with you and your tiny little ship being given a series
of tutorial missions from an angry old man, to whom you are an assistant.
Not exact matches
The
tutorial and
missions to follow were lax and not restrictive, leaving a LOT
of room for the player to explore the various locations and complete
missions at their own pace.
Pared down strategy elements, scanty arsenal
of weapons, lack
of single - player
missions and decent
tutorials — yep, it's all there, but, in contrast to shooters that come off big assembly lines, the developers put love and effort into making
of this game.
Mission Mode consists
of a series
of more interactive
tutorials — these start out simple with stuff like how to move, tag and combo, but then ramps up into a series
of ten character - specific challenges for each character in the game.
Along with these new characters comes a whole host
of new single - player
missions, challenges, and
tutorials, along with some new additions to story and arcade mode.
The first part
of the game or prequel
mission serves as a
tutorial which teaches the players the control mechanics
of the title which is fleshed out more when you return to your abandoned oil rig with Ocelot (Troy Baker) who helps you fine tune your mercenary skills at «mother base».
The latest game in the series is out today on Steam and it features lots
of gameplay with a full
tutorial campaign and almost twenty
missions in the main campaign too.
The game's opening
mission, not including
tutorial, starts off with a very visually impressive set piece where you pilot a flying dragon mech and take out waves
of enemies.
I actually would recommend players try to make it through the
missions before starting in on assault or endless modes because they serve as a great
tutorial for some
of the strategy required to do well at higher difficulty levels.
The
mission and vision should eventually lead to creating a set
of standards, which will be described in Lesson 3
of this
tutorial.
While you can't save during these
missions they condense the games mechanics into a lovely package that avoids almost all
of the tedium
of the
tutorial / campaign
missions, with a placing on the world leaderboard being your reward.
The
tutorial and beginning
missions of the campaign do a great job
of teaching you the in game controls and what the heck is going on with the story.
A small nod to singleplayer is included in the form
of missions such as a Speeder chase on Endor or piloting a Tie fighter, each designed to act more as a
tutorial for the online side
of things with some minor rewards for teir completion.
Before being sent on your first
mission together, The Grandmaster
of the school gives you your final exams, which serve as the game's
tutorial level.
Under Night In - Birth in general gets pretty complex with its mechanics, but there is a very helpful
Tutorial Mode to play through to get the hang
of combos and mechanics as well as a
Mission Mode to really get in - depth with combos.
After a new expanded
tutorial quest chain — an interesting and canonical diversion that vastly improves the new player experience — you'll settle into a routine
of picking
missions from a massive list
of different planets from your space ship hub, at which point you'll be grouped together with three fellow Tenno and sent into battle.
The
tutorial mission does a decent job
of explaining all
of that to you, from combat to transforming between your Human and Car forms.
The first four «
missions,» where you'll collect the power to change seasons, all feel like
tutorials, so by the time the game really cuts you loose you will have already played around two hours and seen much
of what there is to see.
The beta will run all the way to the game's full release on 11th August 2017, offering pre-purchase customers a first look at Sudden Strike 4, with access to the game's
tutorial, three singleplayer
missions (Battle
of the Bulge, Stalingrad and Balaton Defensive Operation) and two multiplayer / skirmish maps.
Beginning with the immediately captivating opening cinematic and
tutorial mission that introduces some
of the game's basic weapon and team mechanics, Vermintide 2 impresses, with outstanding art and character design and detailed graphics, varied level architecture and rewarding combat.

of fighters to experiment with.

The campaign is mostly forgettable stuff, offering up a sizable enough selection
of missions that are essentially just a long
tutorial that gradually introduces new weapons.
The
tutorial level teaches you the basics
of flight and combat as you would expect and once you hit the
missions the game picks up.
Your smart phone contains apps for keeping track
of your status, changing equipment, using items, viewing
tutorials, tracking challenges, viewing records, looking up game terms, accepting side
missions and more.
Other single player options include
tutorials for each ship you unlock and «Where's Waldo» mode which has you searching the same levels you played in the
missions (minus any enemies), only you are tasked with finding salvage and «memories», the former
of which expands on the universe and characters that interact with you.
In addition to the hack archive, the site has
tutorials for using the Setup Editor, premade action blocks that can be imported into any new
mission, and even a pack
of preconverted Perfect Dark maps ready for use in Goldeneye.
And considering the fact that the story takes place over eight main
missions, it's a little bit
of a gyp to think that the first three
missions are

The campaign is fairly straightforward and acts as a
tutorial as well as a means
of changing up some
of the core mechanics, such as
missions that take place on different towers featuring multiple pathways or certain workers that must not be killed.
Taking place as a sort
of side
mission between the events depicted in the movie, CA: SS starts off with an introductory /
