of inflation, making the limit a 2 percent cap on levy increases.
While Mr. Gamberg and the school board have agreed there are some good elements to Common Core, they've also been one
of the more outspoken school districts on the North Fork to oppose the state's mandate that
ties teacher evaluations to state assessment scores.
The news comes as King had postponed but is now restarting a series
of public forums on the state's new Common Core curriculum and the
teacher evaluation system that is
tied to it.

ties to both United Federation
of Teachers president Michael Mulgrew and the charter sector, is in the middle.
