Scientists have sequenced the entire genome of Chlamydia trachomatis, the enigmatic bacterium that's the leading
cause of venereal disease in the United States.
There are more than 60 million
cases of this venereal disease treated around the world every year — and 300,000 just in the U.S. — in people who experience clear symptoms.
And, with one of the highest rankings on the Well - Being Index and one of the lowest
number of venereal disease cases per 100,000, we think heartbreak is short - lived here.
