Hatsune Miku is back again with another hit volume
of vocaloid music.
The game uses super-chibi versions
of the Vocaloid stars (based on the Nendoroid figure line) and generally cuter, more upbeat songs.
The first Project Mirai game was released in March last year and acts as a cutesy spin - off based on the Nendoroid line
of vocaloid figurines.
If you're a fan
of Vocaloid, they have two that are named Rin and Len (Which are their cannon English names).
It is big on fans
of the Vocaloid Music and Software.

I've recently become a big fan
of Vocaloid so i'm debating on wether or not I want to get Hatsune Miku...
When Hatsune Miku and the rest
of her Vocaloid pals once again make their way Stateside soon, Sega will be sending six months of DLC along with them.
During the 1st year, students will learn the basics
of the Vocaloid program.
The game is still Japan exclusive and takes the form
of a Vocaloid - powered rhythm game featuring new characters and songs developed by renowned Vocaloid artists such as daniwell - P (the famed composer of a rather popular internet meme).
In fact, if someone has enough time on their hands, they can even change the shape
of the Vocaloids» mouths to make them lip sync along with the songs.
It's amusing if you're a hardcore fan
of the Vocaloids, but it's a bit barebones from what you'd normally expect as a «story» mode and feels more like fluff to get people to try out the different songs they might not otherwise attempt normally as you need to clear at least a specific high score to move on.
During each stage, you can choose one
of the VOCALOIDs to sing and dance while you wail away at the buttons.
Well, a lot of people are fans
of Vocaloids (including me: b), so I guess being a Vocaloid game is part of its popularity.
I am also a fan
of the Vocaloids, so when the original Project Diva game came out on PSP, it was a great way to have a Rhythm Game based on the music and characters I already watched videos of.
Singing these songs is a handful
of vocaloids, primarily the game's title character, Hatsune Miku.

Originally designed by Yamaha,
Vocaloid allows you to enlist the services
of a singer in a box.
Perhaps famous singers will license their voices to
Vocaloid's creators, just as they license traditional recordings
of their voices to record companies.
Building on the tradition
of music synthesizers that can convincingly re-create the sounds
of a string ensemble or a brass band,
Vocaloid makes it possible to re-create the sound
of the human voice — singing melodies and words that you define.
Once you've installed a
Vocaloid font on your PC, you define a melody, either by importing a kind
of digital sheet music called MIDI or by manually entering the notes on a scale.
The resulting collection
of audio snippets creates what the
Vocaloid developers call fonts.
As the software improves and the library
of fonts expands, the
Vocaloid approach will no doubt become irresistible to those who harbor musical ambitions but who nonetheless get alarmed looks while belting out the national anthem at baseball games.
Both experiences can be fascinating and fun, but they're as different as the process
of typing out instructions for
Vocaloid and singing a melody yourself.
Of course, these homespun Spectors would no doubt prefer to have McCartney or Turner singing for them in the studio, and perhaps
Vocaloid or its descendants will eventually supply those famous voices.
A fan
of a lot
of animes & mangas, Homestuck,
Vocaloid, and I du n no, ecerything what's good.
While the
Vocaloid movement has caught on to some degree here in the States, it's still a genre
of music — and an overall concept — that is utterly baffling to most
of our populace.
Here, the entire point
of the series is to specifically focus on songs that
Vocaloid fans have crafted, from budding musicians working out
of their living rooms to the big time producers who make Miku and company come to life in their spare time.
With multiple difficulty levels and a huge range
of genres to choose from (pop, classical, trance,
vocaloid, R&B, and more), players will be glued to their Nintendo Switch for hours and hours, whether at home or on the go!
In 2009, Sega brought the breakout star
of Crypton Future Media's
Vocaloid singing synthesis software to video game fans with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva for the PlayStation Portable.
Though a couple
of my more recent favorite Miku tunes didn't make the cut (notably «Love Song,» featured in last year's Project Diva X), I am overwhelmed by what Sega's latest
vocaloid rhythm game has to offer.
On October 25, the
vocaloid community started noticing videos were disappearing on YouTube, despite no formal announcement
of any changes.
Froggie's YouTube channel, which primarily consists
of videos covering anime and
vocaloid songs, has more than 11,000 subscribers.
Then there's the customisation options; there are a ton
of different modules and accessories to purchase, and for the first time ever you can also customise each
vocaloid's hairstyle.

Along with all
of those other games that hit stores today comes Sega's Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd, the latest in a growing line
of rhythm games featuring the
vocaloid (electronic) singer who recently took David Letterman by storm and / or surprise.
The Yamaha booth even had a waverunner featuring
vocaloid character Hatsune Miku —
vocaloid,
of course, was created by Yamaha.
The goal is,
of course, to hit as many notes with perfect timing as possible in order to earn a high score and Diva Points, which can be spent in an in - game shop on new Modules (costumes), items, and furniture for the
Vocaloids.
Sega and Crypton Future Media dumped a few
of the Hatsune Miku
Vocaloid songs on a PSP UMD, along with an editor that would allow players to create their own videos and tracks, and it exploded.
When one
of the 38 included
Vocaloid songs is playing, the lyrics scroll along the bottom
of the screen.
My personal favorite
of these is in the video for the song «Remote Control» which begins with
vocaloid Rin playing her Sega Dreamcast.
The service boasts itself as a place for fans
of anime, manga,
vocaloid music, cosplay, and the like.
With multiple difficulty levels and a huge range
of genres to choose from (pop, classical, trance,
vocaloid, R&B, and more), players will be glued to their Nintendo Switch for hours and hours, whether at home or on the go!
Even better for eager
vocaloid - otaku is SEGA's pledge to bring over DIVA F 2nd's downloadable content, expanding an already substantial roster
of songs.
All
of these things add up to one interesting franchise known as
Vocaloid, but in this instance, we're going to be specifically referencing one ever popular rhythm series featuring Hatsune Miku.
If you're someone who's not used to the whole
Vocaloid scene, the songs in Project Diva can be a bit
of a stumbling block for some players.
I hate most rhythm games, mostly because I'm inherently terrible at them (but also partially because I don't like a lot
of the music)... but I like
Vocaloid music enough that I think I might give this a try on my vita... I wouldn't ever play a game like this on a home console so I gave a pass to the PS3 version, but I can see myself playing this at a hotel or on the bus...
I'm relieved that
Vocaloid is becoming way more attracted because
of this Western release
of the games!
As someone who loves anime
of all kinds and am just starting with
vocaloid in general i eagerly await this game.
