Whenever I think of summer I
think of the warm nights, beach days, rooftop bars and of course those gorgeous summer dresses.
Despite a slightly late start we've had lots of very warm sunny days, followed by
lots of warm nights.
Some places have seen close to a doubling in the
number of warm nights and a halving of the number of cold ones.
It's finally starting to feel like Summer here in the UK and I'm getting excited about the
thought of warmer nights, park days, a golden glow and Summer recipes.
These changes include an increase in the number
of warm nights, unusually hot days, and heat waves, as well as warming of the warmest night of the year, warming of the coldest nights and days of the year, and warming of the hottest day of the year.14 15 16 17 18 19
Similarly, the number
of warm nights was increasing faster than the increase in warm days (Alexander 2006).
