Regarding probiotics though, I was told by a vegan doc in order to really be affective you need 100 billion a day, you can get probiotics capsules that high, but then I decided to just do a cup
of water kefir daily, stools are now great!

For example, generally I have in my diet
daily: fermented cod liver oil with butter oil (a blend), raw whole food vitamin B complex, raw whole food vitamin C, True Calm (GABA amino acid blend), local and pastured eggs, raw and whole milk yogurt, grass - fed butter, fresh produce, lacto - fermented veggies (pickles, carrots, sauerkraut), raw cheese,
water kefir, beet kvass, elderberry syrup, and some kind
of pastured or grass - fed meat.
Goal: Consume 4oz
of fermented drinks such as coconut
water kefir and 4oz
of fermented veggies such as sauerkraut or kimchi
daily.
What is interesting is that we control the diarrhea by taking out the newly introduce,
daily kefir water and spinach, which is suggestive
of Histamine Intolerance.
I milk my own Jersey, eat my own eggs and meat beef, chicken goat; grow many
of my own veggies year round, eat lots
of cream and butter, the fat on my meat, bone broth; within the last year have given up vegetable oils except olive; gluten free for 2 years; very little organic cane sugar say less than 2 - 3 T.

Start with simple steps by repopulating your gut flora with super drinks like
kefir and beet kvas, eat fermented vegetables
daily, liberally consume bone broths (properly prepared — see Nourishing Traditions book by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig), eat grains that are only properly prepared (soaked for at least 12 hours in salty and slightly acidic
water), make sure your diet consists
of foods rich in vit.

water kefir, and beet kavas; making and eating [
daily] a portion
of lacto - fermented vegetables like sauerkraut, kimchee and pickles and enjoying raw milk, yogurt, dairy
kefir and other fermented dairy products is excellent and so very healing.
