When you think
of a winter color palette, you probably think of a lot of dark and boring hues.
This week was full
of winter color, while still being heavy on the lettuce and root vegetables.
Winter jewelry is usually focused on making a statement, since most
of the winter colors are darker.
In the low light
of winter colors appear darker, but on a bright day with the sun reflecting off snow colors appear pale and icy.

The 1961 was a liquid explosion
of tastes and
colors — sunshine, fresh - cut grass, pancakes, lemon trees, the smell
of wood stoves in the
winter, and homemade butterscotch.
