During Naseba's 19th Global Women in Leadership (WIL) Economic Forum 2017 forum, H.E. Noura Al Kaabi asserted in a keynote address about the
significance of women empowerment, emphasizing on the need for flexible working practices for women in the workplace.
The
dream of women empowerment was envisaged way back in 1995 by the Dairy Board which initiated «Women Dairy Cooperative Leadership Programme» (WDCLP) on a pilot basis in Valsad, Kolhapur, Wayanad and Goa in Western India.
Ghana's First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama has been adjudged the
winner of the Women Empowerment Award by the Abuja - based Organisation African Achievers Award.
The Foundation called Ekpoliaku, which means a virtuous woman, will seek to champion the
cause of women empowerment with much attention on breast cancer as well as philanthropy.
Furthermore, she's been a patron of female empowerment programmes in several instances, including the
launch of a women empowerment programme for social NHBRC.
