I've loved the look
of wood bead garlands for a while, and finally realized I could make my own!
I had just about given up on my light when I came across a box of old Christmas decorations in storage that had bags and bags
of wood bead garland I bought at a yard sale years ago.

I like the simple look
of this natural
wood bead garland, but you could also paint your
beads, or add tassles or charms for adornment.
From
wood beads, greenery and macrame, to tissue paper, felt balls, and fabric,
garlands of all kinds are showing up in homes.
And I got ta find me some
of these
wood beads and make
garland!
Since I recently shared a photo
of my DIY
wood bead garland in our coastal farmhouse dining room, here is a quick tutorial.
We paired ours with a
wood bead garland and a few pumpkins for an extra touch
of fall.
I wound up using yard, cocktail straws and
wood beads to make all
of our ornaments and the
garland on our fireplace mantle.
Next, I added some wooden hearts to my
wood bead garland, gave the goose a lace bow, and laid down a bundle
of silk flowers....
