of wood filler and it still wasn't perfect, but that might be the look you are going for!

of filler, or what to do about it.

wood filler in some
of the corners to smooth it out, and some paint...

of filling it with
wood filler and sanding...?
Did you nail directly into the top
of the plank (which you would need to fill the holes with spackle or
wood filler) or did you nail into the groove like you would for hardwood floors?
BTW, the old rack is going from forest green to a bronzy brown with previous «pecan» warped
wood top to natural
wood top with «peg holes» (read: turned over top, filled old screw holes with
wood filler, then used dark furniture crayon on top, and LOTS
of polyurethane
of course!)
I need a few boards for the deck (puppy chewed boards do not look good),
wood filler to fix the inside puppy chewed baseboards, kind
of need new carpet for the kids» rooms, oh, and more Valspar paint to repaint the ugly, icky brown stained front door.
I went on and painted one coat
of chalk paint on the drawers and then used the
wood filler to fill the holes.
Countersink the nails, fill the holes with
wood filler (or spackle), and paint the color

To fix the «seam» edging along our pine board, we covered all
of the sides with

For the longer portions
of the wall, we butted two boards against each other and used
wood filler in the seam to make the boards appear as one long board.
After applying
wood filler to some
of the missing veneer and
wood gluing the legs back together, I painted it with Annie Sloan Coco (love that color) and waxed it with Minwax clear wax.
This will help the
wood filler blend more evenly with the
wood and help the seam to accept the stain the same as the rest
of the countertop.
All you need is a little patience,
Wood Filler, and a pile
of Scrap
wood, old fence boards, Pine Boards, or whatever you happen to have on hand.
The point
of sanding is to smooth out major rough spots and smooth any
wood filler you used.
I also used some
wood filler in the doors to get rid
of the ridged edges and clean it up a bit.
It's interesting to see that 3M has bought BONDO, one
of my favorite «it's not just for auto body repair» products and repackaged it as a
wood filler.
I think you could fill in the crevices with
wood putty /
filler stuff and still keep the appearance
of the planks.
Once everything was nailed into place, I used
wood filler to fill all
of the seams where boards matched up to create the look
of continuous boards.
When
wood filler is completely dry, sand the project in the direction
of the
wood grain with 120 grit sandpaper.
I used
wood filler to fill these holes, along with adding
wood putty to the sides
of the plywood to give it a finished appearance.
