Among e-book readers, there are no statistically significant differences between those ages 16 - 29 and those over age 30 regarding where they first turn for e-books; some 78 % of e-book readers under age 30 look for e-books first at an online bookstore (compared with 75 % of those over 30), while 16 %
of younger readers look first at the public library (compared with 11 % of older respondents).

looking for experiments to try with their 5 - 12 year olds, we feel that making a parallel comparison
of «breathing» or respiration for plants and humans helps children to better understand the process
of photosynthesis at a
younger age.
One newspaper,
looking to augment the number
of female and
young readers, regularly published violations concerning these particular demographics, at the expense
of other vulnerable populations, such as the elderly or indigenous.

To overcome the resistance that many
young and old blacks have
of looking deeply into our past I have come up with a creation: A historical novel that uses the tools
of mythology and science fiction to create a scenario that allows the
reader to identify with a main character who will rise above all others; a character who will be a triumphant hero amidst the travesty
of slavery.

Just as she did in her recent Caldecott Honor title, Dark Emperor and Other Poems
of the Night, and Ubiquitous: Celebrating Nature's Survivors, Joyce Sidman challenges
young readers to
look at their environment with fresh eyes in Swirl by Swirl: Spirals in Nature.
The book takes
readers into the heart
of the charismatic and sinister Jack Wyck and his cult - like coterie
of young followers, presenting an unsparing
look at the unsettling power
of its manipulative leader.
Fans
of Legend or not,
readers should prepare to be captivated — and to
look forward to a continuation
of the
Young Elites series.
I love the built in dictionary option
of the Kindle for the
young reader no more hopeing the child wants badly enough to understand a word they may have skimmed over because it's at a good part and they don't want to have to put the book down and go
look up the word in the dictionary.
Looking ahead, Audiobooks is already considering some
of the educational and academic text applications
of audiobooks, for college - level and
younger readers.
Again, the picture changes accordingly when you
look at the different age groups: within the group
of younger readers aged 14 - 29, only 27 % prefer reading longer texts in print, while the number
of those who read in multiple formats has risen: in 2015, 44 % read print and digital equally, up from 42 % in 2014.
But instead
of promising that your
reader will learn about the life
of John Adams or
look 20 years
younger, you're crafting the promise
of a good read.
I signed up for Wattpad little over a year ago, and learned that most
of their
readers are bored,
young people
looking for a freebie.
Readers of science fiction, fantasy, graphic novels,
young adult, and romance have also been
looked down on.
Manga Shaenon Garrity takes a fond
look at the wrestling manga Ultimate Muscle, the sequel to the 1980s series Kinnikuman: «As in the original series, the superhuman world is packed with weirdoes: a wrestler who turns into a sneaker, a wrestler who's a walking toilet, a
young wrestler with an elderly wrestler growing out
of his arm, a wrestler with a microwave in his abdomen, a wrestler who turns into a motorcycle, a wrestler made
of Legos, wrestlers shaped like bananas, sushi rolls, photo booths, roller coasters... Also as in the original series, most
of these characters come from ideas and sketches submitted by
readers.»
Cast
of Wonders is aimed at the
young adult
reader, and their guidelines note that they are
looking for «high fantasy», «all forms
of science fiction» and psychologically - based horror.

readers were first introduced to Beers Contemporary gallery in September last year, when we presented you with a brand new project by Thames & Hudson entitled 100 Painters
of Tomorrow, featuring one hundred
young, emerging talented artists to
look out.
Though we feel the vast swaths
of text might come across as
looking a bit heavy going for
younger readers.
