We made the Star cookies with our grandsons and they were so oily from the amount of coconut oil you could squeeze
the oil out of the dough.

Line the base
of a pizza dish with a generous amount
of olive
oil and a sprinkling
of flour before evenly spreading the
dough out over it.
- set up your work station before you start - you need a deep pot for the
oil, a candy thermometer, utensil (s) to bring the
dough in and
out of the hot
oil, and a place to put the hot donuts (a plate covered in paper towels, and a cooling rack).
The only reason for the
oiled parchment in that oven environment would be to keep the top
of the
dough from drying
out; if it's steamy in there, it shouldn't need it.
To assemble we simply roll the
dough out (about 10 inches), brush on a touch
of olive
oil, add a light sprinkling
of parmesan, spoon on the brussels sprout and onion mixture, and then top it all with beautiful dollops
of cream cheese.
Stretch
out your favorite pizza
dough onto a lightly
oiled baking sheet (I love this pizza
dough — I use a little bit
of whole wheat flour and freeze half the
dough for our next pizza night).
Pipe
out about 3 strips
of dough, 4 - to 5 - inches long, into the hot
oil (if necessary, snip off the end
of the strip
of dough with kitchen shears).
Turn
out onto an
oiled work surface and knead for a few minutes — the
dough will be sticky, but be wary
of adding any additional flour.3.

out the
dough and pour the remaining teaspoon
of olive
oil into the bottom
of the bowl and spread to coat the interior with your fingers.
I like to stretch
out a fresh ball
of pizza
dough, then top with extra-virgin olive
oil and za'atar.

of dusting a peel with cornmeal, brush both sides
of the stretched -

dough with Colavita Extra Virgin Olive
Oil.
Pour a Tablespoon
of Extra-virgin olive
oil onto your bread board or counter and smear it around with your hand to make a place to dump
out the
dough.
I usually press my
dough into a couple
of cast iron skillets greased with some olive
oil and semolina flour, which gives it a perfectly round shape that pops right
out after baking.
To make shaping easier, once you have rolled the
dough out into about a 6 - inch round, transfer it to a lightly
oiled piece
of unbleached parchment paper.
3) Pre-heat oven to 450 deg Fahrenheit (230 deg cel) 4) Meanwhile, prepare the pizza
dough but combing the tapioca flour, salt, 1/3 cup coconut flour in a medium - sized bowl 5) Pour in
oil and warm water and stir well (mixture will be slightly dry) 6) Add in the whisked egg and continue mixing until well combined (mixture will be quite liquid and sticky) 7) Add in 2 — 3 tablespoons
of coconut flour (one tablespoon each time) until the mixture is a soft but somewhat sticky
dough 8) Coat your hands with tapioca flour, then using your hands, turn the
dough out onto a tapioca - flour sprinkled flat surface and gently knead it until it forms a ball that does not stick to your hands.
At first, you may be a little skeptic about using eggplant instead
of dough, but it actually comes
out very tasty, especially cooked with coconut
oil.
Once the
oil is to temperature pipe
out 3 - 4 strips
of dough, 4 - to 5 - inches long, into the hot
oil.
... Hi Claryn, apologies for the delay in replying to thank you for your reply:), i used the olive
oil as you advised, the
dough didn't rise like it looks in the picture, & that was because my oven malfunctioned, still it turned
out tasting great, i am a novice, getting to know my oven, my ingredients & everything to do with the world
of baking, thank you for all, you shall hear from me again soon, after my next attempt, i can tell you one thing though,
dough rising or not rising, i'm so happy & grateful to eat my own home baked bread, love & peace to you Claryn & God Bless...
I did do things just a little different, I don't have a stand mixer so used my food processor with a
dough blade, worked great, and I was
out of veg
oil so I used olive
oil.
I added and extra half cup
of coconut
oil bc they were so dry they wouldnt even roll into balls... I thought for sure bc the
dough was much more the consistency I was looking for that with the added coconut
oil they would turn
out... they did nt really.
Roll
out dough to desired shape and brush lightly with
oil (again I use the
oil from a jar
of sun dried tomatoes for extra flavour).
Once the
dough has rested, pour some olive
oil into the center
of baking sheet and turn the
dough out.
I think the
oil was left
out of these because I tried to make them and they did not come together... so I added 1/4 cup olive
oil and the
dough came together.
Holding bag at an angle so tip is a few inches above surface
of oil, squeeze
out dough, moving the bag as you squeeze so
dough is piped in a 6» length into
oil.
I rolled tortilla
dough out of flour, water, and
oil.
If not, lightly
oil the area
of the pan where you'll be placing the
dough so that it doesn't stick after it comes

out of flour and
oil but I rarely pull it
out because it's soo messy.

of non-stick baking paper to form a large circle, about 25 cm in diameter.
Roll the square
out further between two large, lightly
oiled sheets
of greaseproof paper or silicone baking mats, using firm pressure until the
dough is so thin you can almost see through it.
Step 2) Keeping the other two pieces covered and using
oiled hands, stretch one piece
of dough out into a rough square until it is about 1 cm thick.
(Note: Because this is such a soft
dough, you may find it easier to cut the doughnuts just a few at a time, right before you add them to the
oil, instead
of cutting them all
out ahead
of time.
