This might sound odd, but I am interested in
old Pyrex and Corning refrigerator boxes, bowls, and containers.
Now
my old Pyrex 8x8s don't quite seem up to the task.
Not exact matches
I think of potlucks and
Pyrex and tin foil lids and gooey cheesy mystery ingredients and Ritz crackers crumbled on top and day
old leftovers that never taste quite the same.
From
Pyrex, stainless steal, crockpots, inserts, pizza stones, clay pots,
old camping dutch ovens, you name it so far everyone that tries something different has success.
The following have been used that I know of: Clay pots with lids, Pizza stone with a bowl to cover the bread, insert from a crockpot,
pyrex baking dish with a lid, stainless steel pot with a lid, baking dish covered with aluminum foil,
old cast iron dutch oven.
I put it in an
old, one and a half pint, rectangular
Pyrex dish.
If you have any food containers that are made of plastic and more than a few years
old, consider disposing of them and replacing them with newer plastic containers that are certified BPA - free, or better yet, switch to glass or
pyrex.
