Church about 300 years, long after they had made up their minds about theology, to start picking scripture to match that
doctrine, and that the

of the bible has over 27,000 «corrections» written all over it, how can you be sure that the New Testament isn't full
of false
doctrine to begin with?

You can not find these as «dialog» in the
old corporate culture
of the
church, because
doctrine is key... and a clear chain
of command has created a sustainable profit line for years.

After reading more about my (prior) faith, I've come to the conclusion that for the so called
Old Churches (Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Calvinist, and Lutheran) the central part
of their existence is really tradition and not

One puts down the book with the impression that Campolo's sympathies lie with brave progressives like Brian McLaren and the rest
of the «Emergent
Church» movement, who have had the courage to «emerge» from
old and worn - out things like Christian
