farmhouse chic is the perfect way to describe this.
I don't have a real
farmhouse table outside
so I just spread an
old tattered quilt on top of what I have to give it that rustic appeal.
Even though I am currently sitting in our
old farmhouse, I still found
so many ideas here for making it, well, «farmhouseyer»!
So in 1981 a room in the
old farmhouse was converted to a cat room where cats and kittens could play freely.
So back we came, and we bought an

I would have hardwood floors; a big stainless steel table or two (restaurant grade) on wheels
so I could move where it suits me; in the center of this space I would like a long wooden
farmhouse table for added creative space for my kids and friends to join me; I envision this space to be very eclectic with
old world, farm house, shabby chic, mid-century, and bits of primitive things inside it!

old wood corbels earlier this year, and we're
so excited to use them on our soon - to - be country kitchen island: Right now, the island doesn't reflect our personalities at all,
so we're going to have fun giving it a
farmhouse / cottage - style makeover over the next couple of months.

farmhouse, I would love to rip up the
old berber carpeting going up the staircase, and replace it with these tiles just on the top of the steps
so that we could see the beautiful wood on the risers.

That jewelry hanger was actually an
old printer tray with a few hooks screwed into it — it's
so simple, but I've loved it since first laying eyes on it a few years ago I think it would work perfectly in a
farmhouse dressing room (how lucky)!
I love the
old wood flooring, but the finish is VERY orange, which looks
so out of place with our white, neutral
farmhouse.
I just love the
old - world feel of the stone foundation (and how the foundation of this barn ties in
so beautifully to the original stone of the Dutch
farmhouse section on the left).
