The significance of the sacrifices was to see our sinfulness and turn our
hearts back to God and that is made clear with the death of Christ. The animals though could not remove our sin that was only possible through Christ
as God he could remove sin in the past present and future
as he is outside of time and space not like us.So there sins in effect were covered by Jesus
as well in the
old testament
as in the new by Gods we just did nt see it.The example of abraham able enoch they all were righteous they were justified before God.Enoch walked with God and was no more that sounds like the rapture to me so the holy spirit was present in that age just like us.We see that God has always been at work to bring life and to bring mankind to salvation.

Craig thanks for commenting the issue i have is that we are saved by faith and by the grace of God both in the
old and the new.Not by the blood sacrifices of animals i am not saying they are not important
as they served an important role in the
old testament. But even if cain had offered a lamb his sacrifice would still not have been accepted because it wasnt given in faith but by works his
heart wasnt right so his offering wasnt accepted.

as a born again believer sin shall not have dominion over us.The battle has been won by Christ so by believing in him we also walk
as he does
as a victor not a victim. Its his holy spirit that empowers us to do what is impossible in the flesh. But to do that our
old nature or
heart must be crucified with Christ.brentnz
Come on get real samson
old testement its in there wilful sin my definition is walking away from the Lord and doing opur own thing knowing what you should do but still do what you want to do.In the life of Samson WE SEE Gods forgiveness and the sacrifice is the same
as today repentence we are saved by the grace of God if we turn from our own way.He was disobedient to his parents and to the Lord his
heart was no different from ours wilfully disobedient he chose sin over the Lord all the time sleeping with prostites and lying with foreign woman going his own way and yet God saves him not only that he was Gods chosen instrument to deliver his people. The sad part is his term was only 20 years if he had walking in the ways of the Lord he should have had that ministry for 40 years that is the term of completion. We cut ourselves short when we choose sin over the Lord which is an idol by the way.We all have those areas in our lives that we keep to ourselves thats wilful they are our demons and our comforters.Until we surrender all to the Lord we can not be overcomers and will be influenced by satan like samson it is clear warning to us wilful sin or making sin an idol in our lives has consequences better to serve the Lord with all our
hearts even though samson did nt for much of his life God still showed him his grace and faithfullness. You can also see wilful sin in the Life of David yet God saves him but not all were saved in the life of saul
as he wouldnt listen to the Lord and kept walking according to his flesh.

heart to God and are doing Satans work of misleading people away from the Almighty they look for men who like to have their ears tickled so don't take mine our anyone else's word for it look it up for your self history attests to the bible

Tommy God has already forgiven you for your sin the moment you asked Jesus into your life and confessed him
as Lord. From that point he paid for your sin in full past present future. It is not sin that stops us from being with the Lord so you are saved. The problem you are experiencing is the battle for your life in the here and now satan is out to destroy you and he knows our weaknesses. If you are honest there were already issues in your life that you struggled with and never got the victory over.So where do you go from here
as i found myself in the same situation i was a christian but walking according to the flesh.God does nt change his mind he always loves us but because of our choices we distance ourselves from God.The issue is that we like sin thats our wicked
hearts and to be fair we cant change our nature only Christ can do that our
old nature must be crucified with Christ. The stumbling block is our pride we have to admit that we cant do it For me that was terribly difficult i was so independent thinking i could do anything but the truth was a made a real mess of things.I sense you are at a crossroads and are feeling desperate and confused. So
as a brother in the Lord you need to confess your sin to God and tell him that you are weak -LCB- we all are -RCB- and that you cant do it in your strength -LCB- None of us can -RCB- but ask him to send the holy spirit to help you deal with the temptations and the sin that you struggle with and he will help you to change your life he will empower you
as he did me.Rather than look at who you are look to Christ and walk in him and he will make you a new man and sin will not have dominion over you.Jesus came to set us free from bondage.Having once been a slave to sin i know what it is like to have been set free by the power of God and that is what Christ is offering you today. All it takes is a desire to change or repent and admit we cant do it and trust him to give you the strength to walk in him regards brentnz
i can feel love for him throughout my
heart and soul... i want to grow
old with this man... i am 47 and he is 45... he has never been married... he said there is not a chance of getting back together again regardless of how we feel towards each other because we committed adultery and God will never forgive us and it will be wrong to do so... so am i supposed to go on living my life being so deeply in love with this man i can never have... why would God put him in my life to make me feel so spiritually happy, so wonderful, so at peace with myself and someone I can finally worship Him with just to take him away from me... I've never been with someone who was so religious and i thought this was it... i finally have someone to read the bible with and go to church with and put God first and share things with my self and my daughter
as a loving relationship would be....
Rick the more i think about it we are to live
as overcomers not strugglers since the day i decided to turn away from the sin that was controlling my life i never fell back into
old sinful patterns not once, was i tempted many many times. The Lord will work in our lives one area at a time he needs us to give him full control so if an area is taking control we do need to hand it to him so he can change us.How do we do it immediately we say Lord you know i am weak but in you i am strong i leaned on him and overcame time and time again. We all have areas of weakness that we struggle in so do nt feel bad.Struggling is us trying to do it in our own strength before this process i was so stubborn i refused to let God help me i wanted to do it in my own strength and so it was a roller coaster ride in my christian walk if the day went well i was on a high if it did nt i would would be down. Not any more now when things do nt go to plan i still thank the Lord and when it goes well i thank the Lord.Because i know that all things work for good to those who love the Lord. The main area he is wanting is our
hearts he wants all our
heart not only some until we come to that place we will continue to struggle in our faith. The only reason to tell you this is not to boast because of what i have done in myself because i have nothing to boast about but if i did i would brag that Christ has empowered me by his holy spirit to be an overcomer just
as he would want you to be.
As Christians we are all called to be overcomers more than conquerers.Make a decision today to turn all your
hearts to the Lord to acknowledge the areas you are holding onto that are controlling your flesh life hand them to the Lord and walk according to the spirit and not the flesh and he will give you the victory. That can be a reality starting today merry christmas everyone and may the new year be an exciting one
as we put all our trust in Christ our Lord and savior.Brentnz

Old Covenant was a covenant «in the flesh» (circumcision) whose members should have lived a righteous life on earth according to the (tangible) Law, whereas the New Covenant is a covenant «in the Spirit» whose members receive the power of the Holy Spirit to really live a righteous life according to the Law of Christ which is written on their
hearts that have been circumcised
as well.
He will be reminded of what that simple
old sage remarked in ancient times, «When they meet together, and the world sets down at an assembly, or in a court of law, or a theater, or a camp, or in any other popular resort, and there is a great uproar and they praise some things which are being said or done, and blame other things, equally exaggerating both, shouting and clapping their hands, and the echo of the rocks and the place in which they are assembled redoubles the sound of the praise or blame — at such a time will not a young man's
heart,
as they say, leap within him?

He spoke humbly,
as if it were the desire of his own
heart, he spoke briefly,
as it becomes him to do, but he will never forget that thou hadst need of a hundred years to obtain a son of
old age against expectation, that thou didst have to draw the knife before retaining Isaac; he will never forget that in a hundred and thirty years thou didst not get further than to faith.
The exciting part is that it isnt just when we are saved but a continual ongoing process of choosing between the spirit and walking in Christ in obedience or walking according to our
old sinful nature. This is the battle we all face the struggle over the
old nature and the power of Christ in us to overcome our weakness.I believe that is what he is saying when he tells her to go and sin no more and he speaking through that word to our
hearts today.i hear this verse ring in this JOISHUA24: 14 - 15 and it says choose this day whom you may serve
as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
Jefferson in his many words is todays paul by basically testifying to a lost society by preaching «The
heart «that is what God wants not the shell which will rott away.I can stand with this truth until the day I die because I also have had disagreements in my church about this same topic.I dispise religion and encourage salvation which come from having a relationship with Jesus. Many may ask how do i have a relationship with him?by simply asking God through prayer, not what we know
as pray but simply given up and telling God he win. That is what being righteous means saying «lord your're right and i will believe and obey that.Last i will like to thank jefferson for this clip, becuase for so long I have been feeling like todays churches in not like the first churches. They are stuck into their four cornered walls preaching to those who already obtain the word and people who already think they are perfect, but what about the weak and the sinners who we are suppose to love, go after, preach to, help and deliver the same way
as Christ camed for the sinners so do we also be like him.Jefferson basically telling all us young people and
old no matter who have suffered in the world, the church, or no matter what party or the past that there is hope and «God wants that person» not the sin but the person.Jefferson wants us to know that God can become personal with us and we do exist or can exist in the christian world not because we are perfect but because «he is perfect and he saw our broken spirits and rescued us!

Gil if we only received one blessing in this life and that was eternal life in Jesus Christ that alone would be enough but we are blessed way more than that because we have been sent his holy spirit to help us overcome our
old nature. He never leaves us nor forsakes us whether good or bad happens he strengthens us in our weakness. It says in the bible that the rain falls on both the righteous or the wicked God is fair to all whether they deserve it or not he can not be anything else than a holy righteous loving and fair God.I do nt need to convince you to believe about God he will reveal himself to you if you are seeking the truth
as he is the truth.I do nt try and make others believe its pointless.I know without a doubt that i am saved and my sins are forgiven.
As a christian it will a joy to be with the Lord there is no fear in death for those that love him.In the meantime i serve him with all my

And Whitman's gnawing fear was expressed in imagery almost identical with that of Jefferson: «If the United States, like the countries of the
Old World, are also to grow vast crops of poor, desperate, dissatisfied, nomadic, miserable - waged populations, such
as we see looming upon us of late years — steadily, even if slowly, eating into them like cancer of lungs or stomach — then our republican experiment, notwithstanding all its surface - successes, is at
heart an unhealthy failure.
