The edge
of the
tablet is plain
old plastic, but the rear panel has a soft touch finish that's much
kinder on your fingers.
The 2nd - gen Nexus 7 is approaching a year
old, so it's possible we'll see some
kind of new Nexus
tablet before long.
I am (obviously) not saying that I think
older women need some
kind of really easy, Leapfrog - like
tablet, just that Barnes & Noble has previously tried to appeal to women who don't see themselves as techies.
In terms
of software, the Prime is not set to initially come with any
kind of important changes, running the same
old Android Honeycomb 3.2, but the
tablet will most likely be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sooner or later.
