The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco have announced the acquisition of two major collections, 112
old master prints given to the Achenbach Foundation of Graphic Arts by Michael G. Berolzheimer of Stockton and a collection of approximately 50 textiles given by San Franciscans George and Marie Hecksher.
Notable holdings include the Warburg Collection of
Old Master prints, an important group of Hudson River School paintings
given by Matthew Vassar at the college's inception, and a wide range of works by major European and American 20th - century painters.
