Traditional pesto is made from pine nuts, but really you can make pesto out of
any old nut or seed ya want.
So when we are hungry enough to consider downing something rancid its generally going to
old nuts or seeds that are high in polyunsaturated fats.

I was 22 years
old, but I had not really eaten
nuts or seeds before.
And oatmeal itself comes in several varieties (i.e., slower - cooking steel - cut,
old - fashioned rolled oats,
or quick «instant» oats) and can be dressed with fresh berries, bananas, honey,
seeds,
or nuts.
Keeping to a basic,
old - fashioned breakfast menu is fine and dandy — eggs (prepared any way: scrambled, poached, boiled, fried, omelet) with a side of sausage
or bacon from pastured animals; soaked porridge loaded with butter, coconut oil,
nuts,
seeds and berries;
or French toast (made with properly prepared sour dough
or sprouted bread) served with sausage, butter and a maple syrup - sweetened fruit sauce with a side of berries and cream.
