Jeremy it just hit me like a bolt of lightning i am so excited about this thought that salvation has nothing to do with eternal life but is speaking of losing the ability to be an overcomer in Christ.Having been there as a carnal christian i always believed in Jesus but i felt i did nt have the power to live a christian life so i felt like a hippocrite i was still subject to
sin and sinful desires.So in that sense i had never received salvation because i had never been an overcomer in the first place.So i can see how a christian could lose there salvation having once walked by faith but that does nt effect there eternal life in Christ.Just so others know i am now walking by faith and am an overcomer i know what it is like to experience the power of the holy spirit and to not be overcome by my
old nature that is what Jesus wants us all to experience rather than being a victim of the enemy.Whether we are an overcomer or not does nt effect our eternal life.brentnz
It says in 1john 3:8 whoever
sins belongs to the devil and Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil which was
sin.Think about this, right or wrong things is not
sin,
sin is a
nature that you were born with, but when you confessed your
sins he forgave you, and you became a new creature,
old things have passed away and now you are a new person; and a new person is not the same, if you can still
sin after being born again then what did he take away, don't you know that his blood is so powerful that you don't have to worry about
sinning because it has been destroyed, he took it away.
Are «you» the
old man — the flesh, the carnal
nature, or this earthly tent — which has been cursed and is prone to
sin, depression, hate and rebellion against God?
In the
Old Testament, when God looks like He is behaving in ways that do not match the

I believe the human heart chooses to
sin because our
old nature is sinful that is why we need a new heart the
old one is rotten to the core we all

Why do we struggle so much because its our
old nature that fights against our new
nature in Christ which ever one we give into is the one that rules us.But as a born again believer
sin shall not have dominion over us.The battle has been won by Christ so by believing in him we also walk as he does as a victor not a victim.Its his holy spirit that empowers us to do what is impossible in the flesh.But to do that our

Geraldine here we see satans tactics to gain control over our lives and he uses pride as a means to control us if our hearts arent submitted to God we get lured into
sin or our need for success or to please others or impress others of our worth.Being born again means to have our new identity in Christ we turn away from our
old nature and take on his
nature or identity.In the process we are redeemed through the blood of Jesus and our lives are transformed so we become as he is.
