on acai bowls for breakfast lately.
I love their nutty flavor and they are a favorite topping
on my acai bowls.

I used to make Acai Bowls all the time but somehow I stopped, you just inspired me to get back
on the Acai Bowl train.
Lately I've been

Acai berries are 1 - inch (2.5 - cm) round fruits that grow
on acai palm trees in the rainforests of Central and South America.
I'll admit, I make room in my budget every few months to stock up
on some acai but I never purchase pricey acai bowls when I can make one at home for half the price.

I managed to squeeze in a last minute impromptu lunch at Babalu with Laura and I grabbed an
acai bowl from Farm Bowl the day I ran to Target
on lunch.
I was doing a little freezer foraging the other morning (to see what's gotten buried over time) and stumbled
on several frozen
acai packets.
But fate seems to have me in its blessings because just when I was oogling some gorgeous
acai bowls
on Instagram, I got an email from a friend asking me if I'd like to participate in a SUPERFOOD SHOWDOWN.
I have yet to buy an
acai bowl or most of the major food trends because they are SO expensive and I just can't be spending money
on it right now.
On the way out, we stopped at Java Kai for coffee, an
acai bowl with local granola (me) and a braised pork burrito (Scott).
The master class was focused
on the art of building an
acai bowl.
Any kind of protein, and whatever superfoods you have
on hand - cacao, chlorella,
acai etc..
This week's roundup includes decadent french toast, creative take

acai along with some other superfoods, and started experimenting, sharing my creations with friends and posting recipes

My D.I.Y version for those of you
