However, this will again command extra money
on top of the initial price of the phone, as you'll have to spend extra cash
on either a Qi charger or Apple's intelligent and faster
AirPower pad, which is not available yet but will assuredly carry a higher price tag than third - party alternatives.

on the launch date for
AirPower, but today, we might have a better idea of when it's coming.
While the latest iPhones» charge tech is based
on Qi, Apple has tweaked it to come up with its own
AirPower standard.
Word
on the street is that Apple might announce the availability its
AirPower Qi wireless charger and an updated Qi - supported AirPod charging case, as well as unveil an updated iPad.
Apple noted that, when using the
AirPower, your device will display a specific charging interface (similar to the way the Apple Watch features a charging interface and NightStand mode when charging

It would make sense for Apple to include wireless charging, as it recently introduced the feature
on the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X, and will soon be releasing the
AirPower wireless charging pad.
AirPower works with Qi charging technology, the leading wireless charging standard
on the market.
We know very well at this point that Google is attempting to take
on the iPhone head -
on with the Pixel line, and I think it would be a really good if Google presented some vision for wireless charging similar to the utopia Apple is creating with its
AirPower mat — one bedside solution for charging your AirPods, Apple Watch, and iPhone.
Unlike other wireless charging solutions, Apple's
AirPower tech can charge your iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPods all
on the same spot.
