Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell once recorded one of the all - time greatest commentary tracks
on Evil Dead II, but here Raimi is more subdued.

Joel Coen had worked closely with one of that form's rejuvenators, Sam Raimi, as an assistant editor
on The Evil Dead (1981), and both Coen brothers collaborated with Raimi on the script for his next film, Crimewave (1985).

Seriously people, I encourage you to read about Horace, Mithra, Buddha, and any number of about fifteen other pre-Christian deities who were born of a virgin, performed miracles, walked
on water, had 12 disciples, had a «last supper,» were crucified in some manner, rose from the
dead, ascended into some heaven, and even many of them were tempted by their «devil» or
evil one.
While the debates rage
on about whether Noah is biblical enough, Heaven is For Real true enough, and God is Not
Dead profitable enough, Philomena delivers a quiet, understated, and powerful portrayal of the actual human experience, where clear - cut lines between good and

It seems like Alvarez didn't really get what made the original
Evil Dead movies so successful, and so he basically eliminates the bizarre humor that made them so much fun and now goes for a bloodbath of pure gore that is entirely derivative and relies
on ridiculous cheap scares.
Quite possibly the goriest film ever made by a Hollywood studio,
Evil Dead is a new Horror classic, a film that accomplishes the nearly impossible task of staying true to the original's roots while standing firmly
on its own.
Overall, bringing Ash into the modern world is a mixed bag... [But] When the Deep Purple kicks in
on the soundtrack, Ash locks in his chainsaw hand, and the blood hoses are turned
on, Ash Vs.
Evil Dead is everything fans hoped it would be.
Bear witness as hapless victims experience the unspeakable terror of confronting demonic forces, murderous poltergeists and other
evil entities that are
dead set
on claiming their souls.
Certainly, you could say, I had no problem with the amount of blood, limbs and other bodily fluids which were scattered across the screen during
Evil Dead 2:
Dead By Dawn, so what harm is a few bangs
on the head or falls through the floor going to do?
Ultimately, the first five episodes of Ash vs.
Evil Dead Season 3 may stumble getting off the ground, but once they find their footing, they take off fast with some of the most insane, satisfying and laugh - out - loud funny beats we've seen
on the show so far.
As we previously reported, Stranger Things referenced Michael Myers in «Chapter Two: The Weirdo
on Maple Street», and prominently featured the movie posters of John Carpenter's The Thing, The
Evil Dead, and Jaws throughout the eight - episode series, just a few of the reasons we highly recommended that you check out Season 1.

on it, the first trailer had one of the coolest trailer moments in recent memory — you know, the wicked homage to Sam Raimi's

Now that
Evil Dead is finally a TV show, too, about the only remaining things
on the agenda are statehood and Catholic Church canonization.
Instead, the figurative poster
on the wall is Raimi's own The
Evil Dead, which Alvarez reveres as much as he reworks, with gestures that scan as persuasively loyal, and insolent, as Raimi's own inter-genre indexing.
