The thing is, if you buy a ebook from Amazon and want to read it on a Sony DPT - S1, you need to convert it to a PDF... but if you just convert it to a ePub (from whatever the source Amazon file is), do you feel the performance would be good
on the Kobo Aura One??
It would be a great loss if this would not work
on the Kobo Aura One: why buy a big - size ereader if you loose a lot of space with the header and the footer???
I would rather buy from Kobo because the book sync's to my Android phone at the point I stopped reading
on the Kobo.
I bought a book
on the Kobo website yesterday, as I did many times before.
Since Kobo offers (most) of these already, its big advantage
on Kobo is its much better pdf reader.
How is the reading experience of pdf - s compared to
that on Kobo Aura One?
The main difference with the second generation model is that it is a candlelight screen, which is the same technology found
on the Kobo Aura One and Nook Glowlight 3.
I am dismayed to see the notice
on the Kobo Help landing page, «Please be advised that due to higher than normal volume, it may take longer than 48 hours for your inquiry to be answered.»
Have you tested out if the trick to remove the header and footer works
on this Kobo Aura One (it's explained here: http://blog.the-ebook-reader.com/2014/10/20/how-to-enable-full-screen-mode-on-kobo-ereaders/#comment-275288).
When this device was released late last year it has been chronically out of stock
on the Kobo website and many of their bookselling partners have been sold out for months.
I buy books wherever they are cheapest, then convert as needed to work
on my Kobo or Kindle,...

You have the same type of scroll wheel to control the size of the font as we saw
on the Kobo Glo and Kobo Mini.

That's my biggest negative

-- The first thing I did was to install the Dropbox app, so now I can just put the apk files in My Dropbox (from my HTC Desire, on my computer) folder and install the apps directly from the Dropbox folder
on the Kobo Vox: it works like a charm!
You simply can't buy an Amazon title and read

on my Kobo Vox but can not figure out how to open it.
1) Plenty of indie authors distribute
on Kobo (and Barnes & Noble and Apple and less obvious sites / library channels).
Obviously you will not easily be able to load
it on your Kobo or Nook and these DRM e-books are not compatible with the Kindle.
The main selling point
on the Kobo Mini is that for the price, it gives you the full functions of a normal Kobo e-Reader.

I also read in the KOBO VOX User Guide that it will not be possible to read Amazon Kindle books

Can you comment if the «flashing» when turning pages is better or worse

I am able to access email, facebook and most applications but when i go to kobo, shop kobo, read now or library, it won't load and states
on kobo «loading...».
Finally, one of the largest flaws with this e-reader is the fact that you can not highlight or look words up in the dictionary with books you manually load
on your Kobo Touch.
I can none of these things
on the Kobo ereader.
The text that is displayed
on the Kobo screen is also not that clear as in the case of the other two readers of the same genre.
For example, B&N books can be read on its e-readers, but not
on a Kobo e-reader.
While perhaps not the household name that Amazon is, the two - year - old platform lets indie authors take advantage of the many benefits that any book
on the Kobo platform can have.

When I check out a library ebook, I can have it on my desktop, on my old - school Kobo, and
on the Kobo app on my iPod Touch without any trouble.
On Kobo's website, there is actually a bug with downloading the User Guide, and many people want to learn about their device.

I think people may have trouble figuring out how to get their books to come up

This is how the feature originally worked, but
on my Kobo Glo HD you hold the bottom corners for rapid page turning.
As a father of a two year old, I love reading with my daughter, and I've even bought a couple of books
on my kobo specifically for her.
Now if anyone could recommend me the app for it and also how to get the e-book onto that app... I've tried a couple of things but no luck... The only i am to view the book is on the adobe digital editions on my laptop... but am having trouble viewing
it on my Kobo.

A couple of days ago I was on youtube watching a video
on my Kobo Vox when it froze up and said something about an error.
I purchased an ebook
on Kobo (i have an Kobo Vox) but the book isn't able to import into Kobo Vox.
Maybe it's different
on the Kobo Aura One Limited Edition with the new firmware from my Glo HD?
