on finding partners for offering the option to create print editions of these books.
While the DCL partnership allows invested parties to rely
on its professional formatting capabilities, the ability to work with
Vook will offer authors a more in - depth, supported publishing experience.
But companies like
Vook, among others, seem bent
on seeing just how far the technology can take the entire experience of reading.

on one of the largest retail platforms for ebooks.

Publishers Simon & Schuster launched 4 «
vooks» last week, a combination of book and video to create a new medium for the reading / watching experience (video
on What is a
Vook here).
At least for the short term, it's more likely that we'll see
Vook productions
on the iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad than
on a Kindle.
Like you, I might be interested in the occasional
vook on a particular topic, e.g. a fashion advice book or a cookbook, but I doubt I would want my fiction served up as a
vook.
Vook used to provide short - run printing only but they have now added print -
on - demand distribution to their services.
Matthew Cavnar, VP of business development at
