The next problem is that child led bedtimes can vary quite a lot and it may or may not be possible to do a consistent bedtime routine, the very thing that is proven to have a significant effect on sleep (see my video below for
more on bedtime routines).
Some parents might be totally cool if their little one sneaks into their bed overnight, but they don't want to spend more than 15
minutes on the bedtime routine.
At minimum, let your overnight babysitter know when your wee one eats and naps, and give her the
scoop on your bedtime routine (bath, pajamas, cuddle, bed).
The best way to fix your baby's sleep problems is usually to work
on your bedtime routine and teach your baby to fall asleep on his own.
Do you really want to have
her on a bedtime routine and regular bedtime, or are you OK with the floating time?
