It works great and I like to keep a bottle around for baking with, but feel

on my first post-cleanse grocery trip I added eggs, tomatoes, bananas, red meat, cheese and a couple kind bars to the fruits, vegetables, nut and
coconut milk and salmon and chicken I had been eating.
Our oldest is
on a dairy -
free diet right now, so when she came over for dinner the other night, I whipped up this delicious
coconut milk - based ice cream.
It is also a lot easier
on the digestive tract making
coconut milk a great dairy -
free alternative to those who do not consume dairy.
On egg -
free baking pages, condensed (
coconut)
milk seems to be all the rage when it comes to baking white cakes, while some seemed to have success using soy yogurts as well.
Enjoy with your favorite grass - fed or dairy
free milk, with
coconut milk yogurt,
on top of a smoothie, or just by itself!
My personal favourite is the gluten -
free Bircher, which so far I've tried with my macadamia and seeded
milks, and sprinkled
on my nana and pumpkin ice creams, and homemade

There is a dairy
free ice cream recipe

coconut milk /
coconut cream.
This tasty hamburger casserole uses healthy cauliflower to keep it
on the lighter side, while the chicken bone broth and
coconut milk are excellent for your digestion and naturally gluten -
free and dairy -
free.

This «nut nog» offers a dairy -
free take
on the classic holiday beverage, using cashews for creaminess,
coconut milk for flavor, and lots of rum to help deal with relatives.
Wilderness Naturals has been out of stock
on the tetra pak for so long now that I either make my own from mature
coconut meat or I use Native Forest
coconut milk, which comes in a BPA -
free can!
I wanted to make a Cream of Asparagus Soup, and I had planned
on using
coconut milk to make it dairy
free.
Most people choose to make
coconut milk yogurt because they are allergic to dairy like we are, so I've included instructions only
on how to make it 100 % dairy -
free.
Green Apple Smoothie 1 green apple, cored & roughly chopped 1 heaping handful of spinach 1 small handful of fresh mint (a drop of mint extract works) 1 cup of frozen strawberries the juice of half of a lime 1 tbsp of chia seeds 3/4 cup of hemp
milk (or whatever dairy
free milk you have
on hand) 1/4 cup of
coconut water
I do
on the other hand love homemade
coconut milk, and thought it should be simple enough to make a dairy -
free version.
Orange Burst Green Smoothie (Gluten -
free, Dairy -
free, Vegan, No Added Sugar) Makes 40 - 50 oz of smoothie, depending
on how much liquid you add 3 oranges, peeled 2 tightly packed cups of greens (I used a «Power Greens» mix of baby kale, chard, and spinach) 3/4 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 frozen bananas 1 to 2 cups of non-dairy
milk (I used unsweetened
coconut milk from a carton) Fresh ginger (optional)-- add 1 - 2 slices of fresh ginger — it adds some zing to the smoothie
But Little Uncle's raison d'être might be its noodle dishes, whether that's the famous pad thai, served with peanuts, roasted chiles, and sugar
on the side (and thankfully
free of treacly sauces), or the incomparable khao soi, so intensely flavorful you'll want to drink every last sip of the rich, complex

I always have some
coconut milk in my pantry, since I think it's such an easy dairy -
free replacement for cream, and I like using it both in savory and sweet recipes (and
on top of my pancakes!).
You can soak the dried fruit in some brandy / rum / whiskey and no one is missing out
on the booze either To make it dairy
free I have used
coconut milk instead of cream.
The
coconut flavor comes from toasted
coconut milk, which keeps this milkshake dairy
free and makes it easier
on the digestive system.
I haven't personally made this recipe dairy -
free (here's my take
on that), but reputable brands of butter - flavored
coconut oil along with a little
coconut milk to lighten up the texture would probably work well.
1 packet (or about 1/2 cup) vanilla whey protein powder, included and measured in with 1 1/2 cups of spelt flour (* 8/21/14 update, I'd suggest using sprouted spelt flour, or a gluten
free flour blend) 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup or half a stick of Earth Balance buttery sticks, melted (* 8/21/14 I'd suggest using real, grass - fed butter or
coconut oil) 1/2 cup vanilla almond
milk 1 egg 3/4 one large apple, grated — skin
on 1 cup fresh blueberries
Another favorite is a slice of toasted gluten -
free sourdough bread with a good slather of Justin's almond butter and some berries
on top of my favorite smoothie recipe:
coconut milk, blueberries, 1 - 2 tbsp.
It's easy
on the digestive system, caffeine -
free, and is delicious with a splash of cream or
coconut milk.
