does serve its purpose in bringing Ty to the
portable realm.
The latter, a Monster Hunter and Soul Sacrifice like game, is a really good offer for those still playing with the almost dead Sony
portable console; ultimately a good reason for you to pick it back up in case you have long missed it... and don't forget it's PlayStation TV compatible, so you will even be able to play it
on your home TV.
While the first trailer for the
console focused
on showing how it is a true hybrid between
portable and
console gaming, we
did get a few glances at the games Nintendo plans to bring to the new
console.
Playing monster hunter
on the 3DS is cool, but well before the switch, i always wanted to play it
on consoles as well, much like what they
did with MHU3
on 3ds and wii U. I was super excited that they announced this for switch, and seeing monster world coming to other
consoles, I can't help but feel i really want this game to be
portable.
The smaller screen feels nice for that type of graphics and most JRPGs are more enjoyable
on portable consoles, also because of the genres» archaic save system (PS Vita's rest mode feels more suitable since it doesn't depend
on external power like the PS4).
Monster Hunter: World will push the limits of what a Monster Hunter game can
do, especially considering the game is usually found
on portable consoles.
Metal Gear creator advocates a «near future» where software doesn't rely
on a single
console, is highly
portable.
@VenomSnakeRisingX Not really, the Vita was the worse I've ever seen or had when it came to storage for any
console, it makes sense for the switch considering it's ment to be more
portable and doesn't cost as much as company branded and made memory cards, that's like saying external Sd for
consoles and PC are too cumbersome and don't make sense, AAA support depends
on how many people that own the
console buys the product, so far there's AAA support but it depends again
on how many buys the product.
Switch can be played as a
console on TV or as
portable, it's a hybrid, it can
do both.
I don't know why that changed when the PS3 came out, but Japanese devs moved away from the genre
on home
consoles to the point where there just weren't as many big ones to choose from, so the fan base that remained moved onto mostly
portables because that's where the games moved to.
Being a
portable drive, all you have to
do to get it powered
on is plug it into your
console.
Overall, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse
does exactly what it promised to offer with an entertaining point and click adventure which recaptures the glorious formula of the legendary Broken Sword series with an interesting story comprising a cast of hilarious characters and plenty of intriguing intertwining puzzles to solve, therefore if you are a fan of point and click adventure games; Broken Sword 5 is certainly highly recommended as both a high quality home
console experience
on PS4 and separately as an equally high quality
portable experience
on Vita.
i have heard wii u is collapsing so i
do nt think it would be
on that
console anymore, but from what i have heard, the ac games
on portable sold a lot more than the wii and gamecube versions
Even with the handle, the older Nintendo
console still wasn't anywhere near as
portable as the Switch, but that didn't stop Hilton from showing up with it
on more than one occasion.
I'll probably never use it, because I don't jailbreak modern
consoles, but it's an impressive discovery by KiiWii
on the GBA Temp forums (via Wololo) that the Parappa The Rapper remaster for the PlayStation 4 is actually a PlayStation
Portable emulator with special features.
How
does the exclusive Wii U title from 2014 perform
on the
portable console?
They're challenging even in the earlier levels, let alone the later ones, and having the game
on a
portable console makes me more likely to
do these things.
In the early days of the new
console's life cycle, great experiences can be a bit difficult to come by, but here's an old title that perfectly fits with the Switch's philosophy — whether you're using the touch screen in
portable mode or sitting
on the couch with some friends helping you solve the puzzles, this little gem plays as well as it
did in 2008.
Just look at Nintendo and how they're releasing a new
console, sort of, they can make their
portable console a success because they release a new version every year and they have a ton of great games focused
on gameplay and fun, Sony can
do better than them so show us.
However, there are also observations made by DualSHOCKERS that handheld gaming is becoming much more the norm in Japan, and Microsoft doesn't have a
portable system like the Vita to rely
on enhancing sales through
console / handheld integration.
If there's a common thread that runs through my favorite games of 2013, it's that the traditional «
console gaming» experience just didn't cut it for me in 2013: a full half of my list is made up of
portable games and two of the others are, at this time, available only
on a PC.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D stands
on its own just as well in
portable form as it
did on the Wii, but be forewarned that they really didn't change anything from the
console version.
In response to the question that went something like this: would you want
console games to be playable
on portable or
do you feel like you're missing out?
I don't know about you but I for one can't wait for more details
on the Switch and this
portable option could prove to be a huge deciding factor for what
console I play my multiplatform games
on.
The best part about it is that the game doesn't drain the
console's battery nor
does it turn the Switch into a
portable oven when played
on handheld mode.
It's new role as a good companion to PS4 will further extend its value & still carries
on the original vision of playing
console class games via a
portable device, and I like the image of the woman using her Vita with PS now at the office, bringing to mind the idea that I could literally have top notch games accessible to me in a variety of places and don't have to worry about carrying around a ton of extra stuff.
But how
does it play out
on the
portable console overall?
They don't exactly feel flimsy, and they're well - placed enough to ensure you won't miss pressing them, but I've never seen anything quite so narrow
on a controller or
portable console before.
I'd much rather see Castlevania remain
on dedicated game
consoles and
portable systems where the series belongs, but if it
does have to branch out into mobile phone territory, then the result should at least live up to the Belmont legacy.
It's rather gorgeous, especially up close
on the
portable Switch
console, and I
did enjoy most of my 30 hours with the game.
as for me I only download I don't spend for games @ wiiu as I said waste of money.im not a sony fan but I
do like psps but I still hate the ps3 @ qotw I would more likely play a handheld
console coz there are better games
on portable consoles.
We don't yet know what will be the focus, but many have been hoping for new information
on the next
console game and mainline
portable game, as well as the upcoming mobile game.
A lot of this has to
do with releasing Knight Terrors
on a
console -
portable hybrid that has buttons instead of phones — the Nintendo Switch is the perfect platform for this game.
Kirby seemed to have a better life
on the
portable DS and Gameboy than it
did on Nintendo's
consoles, so it's nice to see a breath of fresh air in with a Nintendo Switch Kirby Game.
I'm sure it's a fine game and all all, but for me,
portable games don't really feel like complete experiences when you play them
on home
consoles or PCs.
The Nintendo «Swtich» has received its official release and even though, quite typical for Nintendo, there are shortages of the
console on the network of all retailers, this
does not stop gamers from looking forward to the titles which will be released
on Nintendo's new TV -
Portable hybrid
console.
Not only can you play by yourself in
Portable mode, but up to 4 people can play
on the same system in splitscreen mode, so if you're out and don't have a TV to connect your Switch to you can set the
console up
on a flat surface in Tabletop mode and take the splitscreen action
on the go.
The framerate remains stable at 30 fps
portable but the docked
console can see drops to about 20 fps, It doesn't seem to have any indication of happening and happens at random, whether there is action going
on or not.
For what video quality is concerned, I wasn't given a chance to make a direct comparison between PS Vita and Xperia Z3 (they didn't even allow me to film, unfortunately), but it seemed pretty much the same, and I didn't perceive any more lag in both video and controls than I
do on Sony's
portable console.
And while Nintendo claims the Switch doesn't mean it's giving up
on the 3DS, it's not hard to imagine that having a more powerful
portable console on the market could eat into that system's sales.
Even if you're already using OpenDNS locally
on individual computers, it makes sense to switch to this way of
doing it: you'll get centralized control that not only includes said computers but also extends to
portable devices (and any other device
on your network including game
consoles and smart TVs).
