I don't think users should be satisfied with viewing mobile - optimized
websites on a small tablet, especially because so many mobile sites are awful.
Finally, the 10.1 format is conveniently large enough for a good left / right stereo setup — this is a bit more
challenging on smaller tablets according to audio experts.
It's an interesting feature, but probably would be more
useful on smaller tablets that are more ergonomic for extended reading.
The new name does make a lot of sense as the mobile platform will not only run on phones, but
also on small tablets below 8 inches.
Large tablets for the most part have faster processors, and because of their larger screens, they provide a better viewing experience that isn't quite
matched on smaller tablets.
Because of its small size and portrait - first design, the launcher home screens and app drawer aren't really changed from the phone interface either, which I'm generally okay
with on a smaller tablet.
I suppose it'll be
good on the smaller tablets, since I'm sure Kobo will insist on giving us the crappy phone UI that Google stupidly set as the default for 7 ″ * TABLETS *, which has no global notifications toggle (alas, like on the Arc you'll need to root it and then mess with the pixel density setting in / system / build.
The interface is called VIA Plus, which is short for Video Internet Apps; the company says VIA Plus will offer a consistent look, whether viewed

Instead, there'll be one version of Windows for PCs and tablets larger than eight inches (including 2 - in - 1s) and a second version that will
run on smaller tablets and phones.

On top of that, Windows 10 is more than just a PC operating system; it's also what will run on Windows phones — and
on small tablets as well, because a 6 - inch phone and a 7 - inch tablet aren't such very different devices.
This mobile version of Windows 10 will be
identical on small tablets (up to 7.9 - inches) and phones, so the name «Mobile» does make a lot of sense.
A major benefit to using the same style of
interface on small tablets and smartphones could be the loss of the desktop, which was derided in reviews of Microsoft's ARM tablets.
Watching
this on a smaller tablet or phone sized screen would be a mistake.
Windows 8
on a small tablet?
The APK installer pack has been posted online for users to install by according to Android Police, the app works best on 10 - inch devices but looks a «little wonky»

Small text in the PCMag Digital Edition is considerably more readable on the HD 8 than
on the smaller tablet, and comics panels have a bit more room to breathe.

on these smaller tablets, while on PCs and things like the Surface Pro 3 you'll need to use desktop Office or have an Office 365 subscription.
The larger screen size over the typical 9.7 - inch variety gives you a tad more elbow room than you'd have
on a smaller tablet, making things like reading text - dense websites...
Microsoft's Joe Belfiore showed off some Windows 10 apps, like Word and Powerpoint, which will be included with Windows 10
on small tablets and phones.
And rightfully so; the new Nexus 7's is the best display
on a small tablet to date.
Multitasking also works better here than
on smaller tablets, with the ability to snap multiple apps to separate portions of the screen, or swipe in from the left to quickly cycle through open apps.
