With the number of annual tourists visiting West Flanders almost doubling from 415,000 to 800,000 in 2014, investment in five key areas: Ypres, Diksmuide, Nieuwpoort, Zonnebeke and Lijssenthoek has enhanced the visitor experience in numerous ways, including its emphasis
on technology to offer interactive displays, improved
accessibility for visitors with disabilities and the emergence of numerous quality educational
initiatives.

Initiative - Dr. Guillermo Couto's team's website, greyhound health
initiative, has very informative and educational articles focused
on improving the health of sighthound dogs worldwide through education, research, and
accessibility for owners, adopters as well as veterinarians.
The intern's involvement in these programs may vary by semester and may include the following: surveying communication between departments about
accessibility options; assessing the universality of gallery and aquarium signage; working with the
accessibility committee
on new
initiatives; and educating staff members
on Georgia Aquarium's
accessibility offerings.
The festival's ethos has always been one of sharing, openness, and
accessibility; produced without a budget, outside of permitting regulations, and taken up completely
on the
initiative of the organizers and participating artists.
With particular focus
on accessibility and increased exposure for the artwork, one of Kanjo's
initiatives was to increase program - related partnerships across campus and throughout the community.

accessibility awareness and advise business stakeholders, designers, and developers
on accessibility standards; providing ongoing advising and consulting
on accessibility across the department.
