That app is actually quite important to Imcosys» device, as it allows to be the only device currently
on the
market that lets readers share
audiobooks, not just ebooks.
One of my friends
on the children's print
marketing side found out that Bahni Turpin was going to be narrating The Hate U Give and decided to hold off
on reading an early print copy until she could listen to the
audiobook.
The big plan right now is to get the
audiobook app loaded
on all of the Samsung 4 Nook tablets and then launch a big
marketing campaign in their bookstores.

on the rise and it rose by 30 % in 2015 — and has grown by an astonishing 170 % in the past five years, making it the fastest growing
market in publishing.
Tim Ferris, who has launched Tim Ferris Publishing, will be taking a stab at the
audiobook market by focusing
on books whose audio rights have not be realized.
With sales growing at an annual rate of 20 % if your book
marketing package doesn't include
audiobooks, you could be missing out
on a growing number of book fans.

Compare this narrow window with the rise of print -
on - demand physical book sales, and the surge in the
audiobook market, which is open to all authors.

In the blog post, Mark Coker shared the basics of the partnership and his observations
on how
audiobooks are a growing
market and a new opportunity for a wider audience for Indie authors.
