The level of nitrate in vegetables can vary quite a bit, and the amount of nitrate used in various studies
on beet juice and blood pressure also varies quite a bit (from 5 to 22.5 mmol of nitrate).
I went on a juicing kick a while back and went a little overboard
on the beet juice.....

on its own, which is why hiding it in this smoothie is perfect!

The small salad that I always have ingredients
on hand for has a base of sweet greens, topped with quinoa,
beets (steamed and chilled), diced avocado, lemon
juice, and black pepper.

beets, eggplant, squash, greens, etc)- quick kale (sauteed with coconut oil, chili flakes, garlic, [lemon grass], soy sauce, lemon
juice)- pac choi w / sauteed mushrooms «chinese» style (with fish sauce, rice wine vinegar, jalepeno / chili, soy sauce, etc)- roasted radishes w / poached eggs - «teamwork pasta» — this is your recipe for pepper and cheese pasta, but it helps having two sets of hands to make it in our house... we put an egg
on this too of course - tuna pasta (chopped onion, garlic, lemon zest, chili flakes, tuna, olives — easily adaptable to what you already have in the house and like)- roast chicken
on friday - roasted sweet potatoes - omlets - challa french toast
beet sugar, cane sugar, content of sugar

If you already know you're not a fan of
beets, simply cut down
on the amount you toss in, and slightly reduce the lemon
juice.

on the Wild Side» by Jo Robinson mentions watercress for aiding recovery from strenous exercise.

on the quantity of
beets you'd need to eat vs
juice to get the same benefit.

on the benefits of
beet juice: When
juicing beets or even buying
beet juice, always insist
on organically grown
beets.
