With Earth's temperature climbing in concert with rising
emissions of
carbon dioxide (and eight of the hottest years
on record occurring in the last decade), we appear to have
begun a vast, unplanned experiment with our planetary home.

on climate change.
There's some good news as climate negotiators prepare for the COP23 climate talks,
beginning in Germany
on November 6th: Global
carbon dioxide emissions from energy production and industry were flat for the third year in a row in 2016, at about 35.8 gigatons.
As Breitbart News reported in October, a number of nations have quietly
begun backing away from the Paris energy goals, which are part of the non-binding agreement focusing
on carbon dioxide emissions.
And since a stronger warming cycle occurred before
carbon dioxide emissions began to rise, Ewert concluded that «an influence of our CO2
emissions [
on] temperatures can not be seen.»
Reuters says, «The tax would
begin at a rate of 10 yuan ($ 1.59) per tonne of
carbon dioxide, and gradually increase depending
on a company's
emission levels.»
The House Energy and Commerce Committee,
on a mostly partisan vote, approved the bill that would halt EPA regulations that
began this year to control
emissions of
carbon dioxide and other pollutants linked to climate change.
