I actually don't routinely use
clickers in my beginner obedience classes,
for this reason — these behaviors are easy to
train using praise and food rewards alone, and I find that adding in the
clicker can be confusing
for novice
dog owners who are already struggling to manage the leash and treat bag without dropping everything
on the floor.
