Essentially, we've been alternating between dinner salads (like the kale Cobb Caesar and the popular paella salad), and what I affectionately refer to

as a tasty dessert, is to think outside of the typical graham
cracker box!
I made the recipe just
as it is laid out in the book, but topped it with a decadent homemade caramel — which I'll share with you in a future post — and then sprinkled a graham
cracker / nutmeg mixture
on top for good measure.
This velvety smooth and flavourful dip is a great alternative to hummus and is delicious
as a dip for

on a sandwich with grilled vegetables and sundried tomatoes.The dip is best at room temperature or slightly warm, so if you are serving it from the fridge, pop it into the microwave for 30 seconds or so to take the chill off.

As for fave savoury snacks, I am very partial to a
cracker or scone — I have a chickpea flour
cracker that doesn't have much in it but am not sure if you can eat chickpeas
on the Anti Candida Diet.
Aside from this great Pumpkin Hummus that we've enjoyed
on crackers, a base for sandwiches and dip for carrots... I am making sure we are increasing our snacking
on organic pumpkin seeds and enjoying the European - produced pumpkin oil such
as this one from Gea.
Although I did bring some snacks with me such
as cookies, nuts and
crackers, I obviously wasn't able to eat any of the morning biscuits, scones or other treats that they had
on the resort.

as an evening snack or in lieu of dessert and this sounds like it will fill the bill for both!
