Denim on Denim is not a new trend, but I used to think that I could not pull off the denim
on denim look because I did not have jean tops and bottoms in matching tones of blue.
I've always been weary of the denim
on denim look because I wasn't quite sure how to make it work for me.

look for more affordable pieces
because that trend may or may not stick around.

because I do actually love

because I had only really seen 80's jean jackets (the ones that were white washed with lots of writing all over it or were super bedazzled) or maybe it was
because I didn't really understand the
denim on denim look, but they were definitely not me.

I love the combination of

because firstly, the color scheme is terrific and secondly

Because the Philippines is probably inside a giant oven right now, here's a great
look to beat the heat.
Because of that I don't like many sweaters, they
look very slim
on my arms, but sometimes even I can't resist to buy one, like this blue, sweater, in a
denim similar shade with some cute and feminine lace details
on it.
When I showed my hubby this picture he couldn't stop commenting
on how cute I
looked in this outfit and how thin and flattering it
looked but this Banana Republic
denim jacket was too little
on me so I didn't buy it, and I decided against the Elle blue shirt even though I regret now that I didn't get it
because it was too cute.
Because each bag is so unique and has such fun details, they're the perfect way to top off a
denim -
on -
denim look, which can tend to be mostly tonal without a fun accessory.
About a month ago, I posted some random photos I took while I was
on the train in L.A. of some young men in raw - edged, frayed cut - off
denim jeans,
because the
look was so fresh and fashion forward.
I wanted a clean
look for that day, nudes and
denim on denim were my choice, I love the Zahara Bib neckalace from Stella and Dot
because of it's versatility, it can go totally dressy or totally casual.
Since it gets a little chilly in the evenings I topped off the
look with a
denim jacket, although I tried to hold off
on wearing it
because I love the cute key hole detail
on the back of this tank!
So, I grabbed it in a larger size
because I wanted it to be oversized, and paired it with this full -
on denim look.
I usually avoid big pocket details
on dressier
denim because I'm going for a sleeker
look but for casual jeans I like it.
