Doulas take an in person training course and learn the above things then go
on to continue their education through a certification
process BUT they a fully equipped to support a
birthing woman prenatally and
during birth right after their training course is complete!
So if you we have an emergency C - section, although we have the mother usually going into labor
on her own, and so we have the hormonal response of being into labor, the baby has been exposed to the natural forces
during the
birthing process for the most part, but with the emergency C - section we usually have a very strong emotional reaction and the emotional side of things doesn't get talked about a lot, but I think it's a very important aspect.
Younger children should probably only be in the
birthing room for the actual birth, as being there
during the entire
process could be too hard
on a younger child.
The most common cause of this condition is negligence
on the part of a physician
during the
birthing process.
In the worst cases, where a baby or mother is harmed or passes away due to conditions that could have been reasonably prevented by a doctor, you may be entitled to seek for financial compensation
on the grounds that the medical staff was negligent in caring for the mother or baby
during the
birthing process, or that they engaged in malpractice and you suffered as a result.
