AACTE is the premier
voice on educator preparation in the United States, leading the field in advocating for and building capacity for high - quality educator preparation programs in a dynamic landscape.
Paul oversees a number of programmatic areas
focusing on educator preparation initiatives, educator support and evaluation, educator professional development, and overseeing the nation's oldest and most prestigious educator recognition program: The National Teacher of the Year Program.
Editor's note: As AACTE moves from collecting information through the Professional Education Data System (PEDS) to tapping other nationally available data
sources on educator preparation, we will be providing periodic data snapshots from these sources.
Given the late release of the president's budget request and little other movement in D.C. for the
moment on educator preparation, I will not hold a Federal Update webinar this month, but we will certainly discuss funding and ESSA during Washington Week!
As the leading voice
on educator preparation, AACTE has long advocated on behalf of teachers as well as the institutions that prepare them to enter the profession, and we're proud to partner with other education organizations on this work.
