Our FAST intervention is based on what has been learned from research
on effective professional development and directly addresses the shortcomings of past and present efforts at standards - based reform.
I also believe that not enough emphasis has been placed
on effective professional development for educators and school leaders.
ASCD worked closely with Sen. Reed's staff, providing both background information

The comprehensive review of research
on effective professional development, conducted by the Learning Policy Institute (LPI), comes at a time when federal support for educators» professional development (funded under Title II of the Every Student Succeeds Act) is under threat of elimination by the Trump Administration.
