I've commented

on the indie publishing side is that Amazon reviews in particular seem totally untrustworthy so while readers may be able to avoid the really bad ebooks that only have one - star reviews there are plenty getting five - star reviews where I've barely managed to read through five pages of the sample before abandoning them.

What should you write
on your indie author blog?
There's a number of «name» authors who started
on the indie route — Scalzi, Doctrow, Correia — to name three off the top of my head.
On the indie publishing side, a lot of the heartbreak I see over sudden changes in Amazon algorithms or business practices as they go after people gaming the system could have easily been avoided if people had read, remembered, and abided by the terms of the contract.
Actually, a lot of us do share our sales numbers, at least generically,
on our indie work.
I bring an issue to the table today, the ongoing debate of Kindle Unlimited's affect
on indie authors.

Anyone who starts off by saying they wouldn't waste their money
on an indie book loses credibility.
As a reader, I know I will not pay e-book prices over $ 8, in fact I give serious thought to books self - published and priced over $ 4 (not that I don't believe the artists may be worth it, but I feel I'm taking a chance
