Whole grains, vegetables natural sugars (in moderation, of course) and other complex carbs seem to land more
on the healthy side (so, we're talking white bread vs. whole grain bread, packaged
cereals vs.
oatmeal, orange drink (with HFCS) vs. an orange).
Growing up
on cereal, sweetened
oatmeals, or in my case, Russian farmer's cheese with jam, our bodies are conditioned to getting a dose of sugar as we wake up.
It may be a bit crumbly... but you can always gather those crumbs and put them
on top of
oatmeal or eat like a bowl of
cereal.
It can be used over

I just stopped the rice
cereal and started
on oatmeal, he's been
on fruit and veggies for over a month now, has tried them all but hates prunes, wont even swallow them..

We started
on a fantastic brand of baby
oatmeal cereal and, at the same time, I also started doing some research
on the different types of baby
cereals and why they were even necessary.
If you start your baby out
on one of the simple whole grain
cereals from Earth's Best, you can choose from typical rice and
oatmeal varieties, but also multi-grain (oats, wheat, and barley) and
cereals mixed with fruit.
By now, your baby eats solid or semi-solid foods and should have about two of the following breakfast items suggested for 10 - month - old babies soon after waking for the day: 1/4 to 1/2 cup
cereal,
oatmeal, yogurt, cooked mashed egg, or bite - sized bagel or fruit pieces for breakfast, depending
on his ability to self - feed and eat finger foods.
So, now I'm starting him
on solids, and even started some infant
