It has been converted into a modern, super comfortable house whilst retaining all the wonderful 400 years old
original features of ancient
hardwood, beautiful painted wooden balconies and stunning carvings
on door / window frames.
It is a front corner duplex which is situated
on the 7th and 8th floors — which are linked by a grand staircase — and comprises no fewer than 20 rooms that have
hardwood flooring, 12.5 ft. ceilings, and
original moldings.

on top of the

on the concrete part so that everything is nice and level.
We could take a chance and remove the plywood to expose the
original hardwood flooring - but that would involve removing the tub and toilet which is way more than we had planned to take
on right now.
On the front left corner of the house, they found
hardwood floors, covered in a large carpet remnant, and an
original fireplace, covered in a thin layer of white paint...

Hardwood Floors was approached by homeowner Yong Kim about working
on a restoration of the
original antique Heart Pine floors of their 1900s era home, to it's
original state.
When we scrape down the layers
on the wood we can see that the
original layer is paint, not a varnish like you would see
on other
hardwoods.
