Last week I got my paws
on Quest Protein Powder —
peanut butter flavour, my kryptonite.
At first I tried the caramel
flavour which was sickly sweet, then moved
on to
peanut butter which was great at first, but I grew tired of it as it was too artificial for me.
This palm oil free, smooth and creamy chocolate
flavour peanut butter is perfect to add to smoothies, spread
on toast, drizzle over porridge or fruit or squeeze right out the pouch and into your mouth!
If spice isn't your thing then by all means use a plain
peanut butter instead, and if you can't get your hands
on Fix and Foggs's smoke and fire
peanut butter, but still want those
flavours, I've included an option in the recipe below to create them yourself.
I tried not to go overboard
on the
peanut butter in these waffles, but you definitely taste the rich
flavour.
• 1 bread roll with cheese / meat filling + large banana • 300g fruit salad with 200g
flavoured yoghurt • 300g creamed rice • 250 - 300 ml milk shake or fruit smoothie • 600 ml low fat
flavoured milk • 1 large bowl (2 cups) breakfast cereal with milk • 2 small cereal bars + 200g
flavoured yoghurt • 220g baked beans
on 2 slices of toast • 2 crumpets with thick spread
peanut butter + 250 ml glass of milk • 300g (large) baked potato + cottage cheese filling + glass of milk
