on the philosophy of law — i.e. including what «law» means and how law is made, in common law systems, you could do far worse than to start with HLA Hart «Concept of Law», Dworkin «Law's Empire» and Rawls «A Theory of Justice».

on the other, prepared the way during the nineteenth century for the following era to define the task
of a sociology
of religion and to organize the material gathered by these pursuits.7 The names
of Max Weber, Ernst Troeltsch, Werner Sombart, and Georg Simmel — all students
of the above - mentioned older scholars — stand out.
By the same stroke, the
philosophy of the will takes
on its true meaning: it is not exhausted in the relation between the maxim and the
