forecasts, i.e. five separate model runs combining to make a 165 - member ensemble, as this was shown to give higher skill.
It seems unlikely to me that the reliability of sub
seasonal forecasts would ever improve to the point where a manager would be willing to make $ 10 - 100 million decisions based
on them.
