This has caused a rash of dog studies
on separation anxiety in dogs to begin, finding that there are several variables that can cause separation anxiety in dogs to develop.
For any guardian
working on separation anxiety there are challenges, but in some ways even more so for a couple or family; lots of coordination has to be put into place.
After all, nothing motivates one to become an
expert on separation anxiety in children quite as quickly as the tiny tear - filled eyes of a child pleading for you not to go and needing desperately to know that you'll always come back.
Unfortunately, a
study on separation anxiety in a shelter dog shows that a dog who has a bleak, depressed or defeatist attitude is more likely to have separation anxiety; this speaks loudly for the shelter dogs as dogs or puppies who have a fearful personality, and homeless dogs who are feeling abandoned due to physical and emotional abuse, extreme hunger, the cold, feeling lonely, or a hopeless feeling about life.

Mothers
high on separation anxiety were observed to be less autonomy - supportive and to experience the conversation as more stressful (e.g., more pressure, more tension, and more relief at the end).

The difference is that boredom can be overcome by adding more exercise and mental stimulation to your dog's day; those things have little or no
impact on separation anxiety.
