A lot of fans, past players and even pundits are asking for us to sign Benzema and if we do that would be a big F**K YOU to either Theo or his agent, whoever was holding the
club at ransom for a pay raise and back to the wings you go...
Get a feeling now seeing Pedro going to Chelsea whom has won everything there is to win and to me is
on a different
level than Theo could have been ours if 1) Walcott wasn't homegrown to make up that number and 2) to prevent him from going to a rival.
It has never really been about how much you spend or how much of a genius you are, it takes sustained competitiveness at the highest
level and / or that extra bit of luck to have a shot at it hence my [previous] happiness at being in the top four [lots of
clubs would do almost anything to
get in that league], however even that can
get stale, to be realistic, I think progress would be aiming for the top two now, enough of these top four stories, it ran its course now we need to aim higher, when the top two is our priority, it becomes inevitable that whoever might be in front of us is bound to slip up
on a few occasions ala Bayern and Dortmund, we should now set our sights
on the top four of the champions league lol
It is a good question although a lot say it's an easy answer as they think we have nothing to play for — but in fact we have quite a bit to fight for as it all involves the
club's future scenarios going forward to
get back
on the
level of challenging for big honours.
These young guns will only
get a chance to prove themselves at top
level if and only if arsenal make massive signings that will give us a major trophy... if we are for example leading the league in like seven points in February, then we can afford to give them some minutes
on field but they wont
get game time
on the current team cz the manager realizes that the
club needs trophies and hez running out of time so i even doubt he will use them in capital one cup... Good luck boys
The 17 - year - old signed his first professional contract
on December 13, and although he's only
got one senior appearance to his name, he has been making his mark for
club and country at youth
level.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more
on display than in North London, but the
club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the
get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this
club's failure to
get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack
on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next
level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
So now he has done his job (very well I might add) then perhaps we can't
get get out of that thrifty mindset, and maybe he should hand
on the reins to someone who is NOT scared to buy the right players to take the
club to the next «exceptional»
level?
Well written, but I think it will fall
on deaf ears, my fear is as follows, it will take a loss in money for the manager and board to change, this will only come if we finish out of the top 4, but knowing the board they would still give home a season to try again, I feel very sorry for Sanchez, he is total quality and deserves better, most of the other players look settled, turn up give70 % and
get paid, no matter what
level you play at you should come off the pitch thinking I gave everything, how many of our players could say that, they lack motivation, player for player we are as good if not better than athletico Madrid but they have a manger that
gets 100 % out of every player, Klopp is the same, but why would they leave their
clubs to come here with a boar that cares about money not entertainment, Wenger was a lucky manager he inherited a top defence now his luck has run out
Its simple really, Wenger is a very poor manager and has been poor very almost 10 years now, he makes insanely stupid decisions and moves than not even a non league manager would make e.g Kim Kallstrom, 40mil + 1 for Suarez, not siging an out field player last season, playing Ozil
on the left wing for some time, Flamini siging, being snubbed by Vardy etc, the list goes
on and
on and
on, Chelsea go in for Kante in within 4 days deal is done, But noooo Wenger goes in for crack head Vardy and
gets snubbed, I'm sorry but if we had to choose over 2 new world class sigings or a new coach I'd opt for the new coach, Wenger is a poor poor manager, he ia lower than the
level of our
club, anyway thanks in advance for the thumbs down.....

Have been calling for wengers departure now for 5 years
on grounds he could not take the
club to the next
level... Personally I feel the record in that time proves me right but ok some can throw in references to debt overhang or cup wins or a couple of genuine world class additions to the squad etc... However I hope this window stands as a real testament to the mans failings and all genuine supporters of the
club get behind a call to remove him at the seasons end... Qed
Joining a
club of arsenal s stature has its ups and downs. There is a requirement of how our players should perform when
on the pitch. The following is a list of players who were wrong to choose arsenal.Aaron ramsey - Even though he is the most favoured of all players at the
club now.I cant help but think how it would have gone for Him if he decided to search for other greener pastures. He was a clear talented footballer during his time at cardiff but he hasnt been raised with the discipline at arsenal. You can always see ramseys all round strengths but sadly Its not helping him or the
club with his foward moving pleasurr. He is so Over used and its sometimes difficult for him to
get used to the rythm of the game. With time you realise he
gets low ib confidence and his engine
gets wasted. He needed somebody who would have managed him properly and with care and that person is certainpy not wenger. You would have been better off at Manu mate.Calum chambers - Came us a very talented player from southampton with raw talent. He was very good at first but wenger found a way to reduce his
level of confidence. His inexperience was left exposed and wenger did nt do anything to resolve that problem and instead He looked for other talented players.Alex oxlade chamberlain - Another very talented player who needed only his skilled sharpened and his character modelled. That and he was ready to become a world beater. But wenger decided to let him run and run like a headless chicken causing him to be often injured and damaging his confidence.Who knows what would have happened to him gad he decided to look for more greener pasture. He is surely a much better player than this.Theo walcott - Another player who was tipped to have a very bright future. He had it in him.But all he needed was an appropriate manager who would nurture him with discipline and help him with his talent. But
on Coming to arsenal he was given Much more responsiblities putting more weight
on his shoulders
on top of that another player who was recklessly managed with his talent and never coming off age because his character wasnt properly shaped.Mesut ozil - Al right i agree he perfoms well just recently. But imagine all the legendary players he was often compared to during his time at real madrid.
On coming to arsenal he found no rotation often overused, suffered many injuries and his confidence dwindled. It is pretty clear arsene does not take any responsibility for players. And when at arsenal you have to be your own manager. You need not rely
on your manager otherwise you might continue being the same player for the next many years. That is why each and every player are what they are because of their own efforts and wenger had nothing to do with it.Van persie was the same player for over 7 years untill he himself decided to change.Wenger only organises and prepares tge team while the rest is in your court. It is not what so many people make it out to be.Thats why we need to pressure wenger more than our own players. They are their own self managers and wenger needs to take that responsibility
Matthieu Debuchy has wanted out of Arsenal for some time, but luck and injuries (and his massive wages) have
got in the way of any departure, while Chuba Akpom has seen his chances of making it in Arsenal's forward line diminish in every transfer window, and has failed to impress while
on loan at lower
level League
clubs.
even when he suffered a serious knee injury, instead of accepting the fact that he would never stick his legs into the spaces that were crucial for someone with straight ahead speed to succeed, the
club actually contemplated giving him a chance to play up top where his lack of physicality, size and holding up play talents would been
on display for all to see... these are not the actions of a
club that really cares about winning at the highest
levels, but they are the actions of a
club that wasn't interested in spending the necessary resources to purchases a world - class striker, which is usually the most expensive position
on the pitch... instead we adopted the horrible phrase «like a new signing» and proceeded to allow this ridiculous experiment to carry
on, which ultimately caused some discomfort
on the training pitch and inside the locker room as players battled for a position that shouldn't have been theirs for the taking in the first place... don't
get me wrong, I believe that Walcott is a talented player, who can help a team reach their goals, if their goals are relatively modest... just look at the teams who supposedly expressed interest in his services and they weren't the kind of
clubs who aspire to win at the highest
levels... as for the reasons why he hasn't been bitching and moaning about moving
on just look at the wage benefits he receives from our
club and his obvious desire to enjoy the societal advantages that come with playing in North London for a
club with worldwide appeal... so instead of continuing to try to fix a coat with a broken zipper simply move
on and buy a new and better coat
The extra fitness and confidence that the big striker will hopefully
get at international
level is good news for the Gunners, of course, but it is also very important for the player himself, as he now finds himself with extra competition at
club level after Arsene Wenger completed the transfer of the Spanish forward Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna before the summer window closed
on Wednesday.
It is beyond me why having shown himself to be outstanding for both
club and country at his age
level Nelson does not
get a chance by coming
on as sub more often instead of the bang average players such as Welbeck.
On today's game - even the side we put out today should have been more than enough to take care of a side with relegation written all over them.Mustafi is looking a liability in every game and Xhaka will never be a dominant midfielder. As for Wilshere he looks like a player who probably found his true
level at Bournemouth last season.Koliasnac is not the player he looked earlier in the season probably down to the «Coaching» he now
gets at the
club.
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast
on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another
level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early
on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to
get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to
getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this
club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our
club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
Welbeck has
got the Bendtner thing going
on, not so great at
club level but a monster for national team.
For all his achievements at
club level, many have argued that Messi can not truly be held in the same category as legends such as Pele and Diego Maradona unless he finally
gets his hands
on the World Cup trophy.
We might have seen Hodgson use Vardy as he has been at
club level if England ever
got the chance to play
on the counter but that did not happen.
But what I don't
get is why are we keeping a player like Ryan Huddart at the
club and sending him out
on loan, if we know that he doesn't hold the ability or potential ability to play at the
level that Arsenal stand at.
Obviously,
on the most straightforward
level it is: losing football matches is a generally bad habit for a football
club to
get into.
We must change things are board
level because someone there must have an issue with spending money, great finacial figures released by Arsenal again & we spend 5 million in the transfer window & to be fair spent little in the summer too in comparsion to everyone else, all we
get is it is not easy to find you players & I take
on board some of what Wengers says but at this stage we must bring in someone to help him because he is ntrying to do too much at the
club & I would gladly through my hat in the ring to be come head of purchasing but I have a feeling they would not let me spend a penny HELP WANTED to improve the same old story
With the Daily Star reporting that Arsene Wenger is willing to splash out the # 37 million needed to
get this talented young star, the sporting director of Xhaka's current
club has all but admitted that they would sell, as they are not
on the same financial
level as the biggest
clubs in the German Bundesliga.
It's the fans that keep sacrificing because this team can't
get their head out of their own ass... please give me some examples when a top
club ever let their best player leave for free at the end of a season... Wenger needs to go to PSG and
get some money and talent for Sanchez so that we can end this nonsense once and for all... then he needs to publicly apologize for the way in which they handled the whole situation... if they allow Sanchez to go for free there is no way this
club, under the tutelage of Kroenke and Wenger, will ever layout the necessary coin to replace such a talented player, especially considering that Wenger will be a lame - duck manager once again in the final year of his contract and we know how well that went last year... open your eyes people, Wenger has spoken publicly about how he hopes that the next manager can take this
club to the next
level... WHAT?!?... he then went
on to speak about leaving them in the perfect position to be successful, which is one of the reasons why several pundits felt Wenger would leave after last season based
on the financials and the fact that so many players had only one year left
on their respective contracts... who says this shit??? If you believe you're leaving things in the best possible shape for your potential successor to achieve greatness it raises a couple of serious questions: Why can't you take things to the next
level if everything is as great as you say?
So everything is in place for Walcott to
get some real glory
on a personal
level and for the
club it seems.
I don't like the prospect of being a billionaire bankrolled
club, especially after all the pain of building the Emirates
on our own without investment, all that time spent trying to
get to a
level where we can compete with the billionaires, and when we finally
get there, we
get a billionaire of our own... Chelsea and Man City fans don't seem to be complaining about Abramovich and Sheikh though, they seem to quite like it in fact.
While pressure is
on the
club to win titles / cups, i think he should have talked about the pressure
on himself, i feel the main reason Walcott is not performing at an ACCEPTABLE
LEVEL is the fear of
getting injured.
When you play for a big
club like Arsenal, there is more pressure
on your shoulders to perform at the highest
level on a regular basis and the fans can
get pretty frustrated when you are not doing as well as you should.
After the Arsenal forward Theo Walcott missed out
on the England squad for the disappointing Euro 2016 tournament in the summer, which was a result of his poor form at
club level in the second half of last season, he seems to have
got his act together and has been producing some great performances for the Gunners.
Now is the time Wenger MUST change things round ready for next season.Auba and Lacazette up front as TWO STRIKERS.Mikki
on the right.Ozil in the CENTRE FFS.He is not
on the ball enough out wide.He is our best player so play to his strengths. He will
get the best out of everyone else.
Get Zhaka out and put AMN in as a CDM NOW.How much longer must we put up with below
level performances?Just admit it was a mistake buying him, ship him out and move
on.Try to
get through the season with the defenders we have
got.Wenger has proved he is incapable of moulding a consistent performance from what we have
got (ALL PLAYERS HE HAS BROUGHT TO THE
CLUB) and let the new guy in next season either sort them out and / or
get rid of them.
It is rather unfortunate that us fans suffer from not winning any major trophy over the years. What Leicester did was just one off, it will not happen for the next few decades.Football is all about investment, to win u have to invest well with some luck.Everton did look at where they are now.We are not at the
level of Real, Barca Manu u name them. The big
clubs invest heavily and still
get some return
on their investment.Arsenal will not spend like city or chelsea or PSG.We will go down like Leeds.Let us be honest with ourselves, if u were the owner of this
club u will never sack Wenger. He brings u lot of money year in year out.
We do nt need Moyes or the whoring Dutchman, give him a bit of time our present manager will sort things out and move us forward, you can moan all you like but his record thus far is OK.Anyway look
on the bright side we've started a trend look at the amount of former players who are «interim» managers at premier league
clubs, Welcome Giggsy, I doubt you; ll
get the same
level of abuse as Tim, but you» better start winning quick or the Manu lynch mob will be in full cry.COYS
I'm not saying the boy's not good but if we are going to spend that sort of money then spend it
on a striker that has proved he can score goals at any
level in any league such as Higuain or Edin Zdeko. The algerian guy hasn't
got time
on his side to learn playing in the Premier league is all i'm saying and if he doesn't hit the ground running he could end up being another Balotteli.Spending 25m
on a future free transfer is not doing the
club any good at all.
Manchester City have already sent out a chilling message to their rivals that large sums of cash splashed
on superstars can make you an overnight title contender, with the Eastlands outfit heading into the New Year
level on points with arch-rivals Manchester United at the summit, so the hear their assistant manager Brian Kidd claim the team will only
get stronger in 2011 will be of alarming news to their competitors, who are working
on more limited budgets and will find it harder and harder to maintain pace with City as the
club continue their relentless pursuit of major honours.
However, if any other than a top six
